Is there anything that repels the fibers (worms)?

I just want to open up a thread on repelling these fibers (the clear white ones) - I know without a shadow of a doubt that these are nematode infective juveniles. They don't eat. They are enclosed in a shell making them almost impenetrable to damage (as we know who try to kill them in the laundry, etc.)

Inside the sheath are the actual infective juvenile worms. I keep finding them on my skin. They penetrate into the skin (usually through a hair follicle) and start their life cycle (next stage is producing the white larva) - That white larva is the nematode. It then grows and gets bigger, turning the lesion more and more pink/red in color, swelling it until the worms take off out of the lesion into other areas of your body.

Since these fibers are in so many places (cotton/yard/crops/clothing/sheets) - it seems we might have to try to live with these horrible little things.

Has anyone discovered anything that repels them, like we repel mosquitoes?

I'm currently taking garlic/ginger/Vit. C and still found 2 on my arm since writing this.

I am fairly new here with just a couple posts. Out of everything I have tried I have luck with the new Aveeno body wash in the light green cap. It says positively radiant with microbeads of soy I believe. This may sound crazy, but I guess no crazier than anything else that occurs with these things, but when I put it on my skin millions of things come out white little ones and hard clear sharp things. The main thing is that it really lets you know just how much is there, at least for me because it has never ended. I go area by area and it feels good when it clears an area out even if temperary. The product has soft green microbeads but when they hit my skin they draw and attach to the things in my body and pull them out. It did not help to wear gloves they go through the disposable ones. When I tried the heavy vinyl ones it did not pull as much out as just rubbing lightly under running water. This keeps it from going back into your hand which happens without the running water to me. I know this has to sound crazy to you the way I need to do it but it is all I was able to get to help some. Because of 6.00 a bottle, and the company would not sell to me wholesale, I started diluting it with water and it still works fine. I hope that helps some. I don't know about repelling them though, but this does get them out of me. Hope you feel better.

You might try cumin powder, found in the spice section in your local grocery store... Use is as a body scrub.

Sarathra, I don't doubt for a minute that we are facing trans-genetic nematodes.

You might approach a manager of a small store with the ordering info, and promise him some money if he will order you a case...at cost.
