| I bought some socks that are not cotton. They are are 66% acrylic, 22% polyester, and 3% spandex. I also bought some with a small amount of cotton, and some that I have to look up one of the contents because I've never heard of polypropylene in socks with nylon and spandex. I think they are for keeping warm. They are men's liners for underneath their socks and have the wick dry quality. Anyway, I am soaking them in Red Hot Ice Melt which has Sodium and Potassium Chloride in them. For lack of what to actually call "it", my objective is to eat up or kill any "live" fibers which may even be on the nylon socks in the inside. Any thoughts? posey |

| I even boiled these for an hour than washed twice. The socks turned kind of a tan color when they were white in the beginning, all except for the part the seams are made of. That stayed white. Reminds me of when I dyed my hair to see if I could kill whatever was moving on my head before I knew what was going on. The white things on my head did not dye. |
