| Hilly: Thanks for that article. This is interesting timing. I just posted the articles about a man who had a fir tree growing in his lungs. Interesting connection to agrobacterium and how it was found in all the morg patients. Faithxoxoxoxoxox |

| Cindy Casey is a brave woman and I want to thank her on behalf everyone at MDR. I think it was her on that Nurses forum pushing Morgellons to the front all the time . Thanks Cindy for everything you do and I 'm sorry if I 've been cynical of your efforts in the past. |

| Thank You , I needed that this morning, great read and Cindy is the b as my son would say.My wife and I have suffered with this "thing of ours" as I like to say, for some time. Although we have some sucess with treatment, we both relapsed big time, lesions our back in a big way. I will never surrender. Godspeed ------nick-liza |

| I keep hoping more of the major Morg practitioners will look at the viral connection to morgellons. After a year of steady use of the antiviral medication and intermittant use of ivermectin I am definitely noticing that the lesions are stopping. I had an area try to open on my chin which never really even got off the ground. The area was free of any sign after just a couple weeks. Lately I am noticing some symptoms I have not had before, such as knee pain and a finger which is stiff. That was called a sprain by my doctor, but if so it is probably part of this syndrome which seems to weaken connective tissue. The knee is improving so perhaps it was a small pull after all. I hurt my hand on a door which was sticking so again I believe injury is involved, but as I say probably connected in some way to the whole syndrome. I think that Dr. Withington also mentioned that there could be connective tissue issues involved in Morgellons. It makes sense as many with lyme disease have these sorts of problems. Anyway, the information about the conference seems so far to be mostly what we have already heard, just perhaps discussed in a bit more detail. I think that the people involved need to reach out to others in the medical profession (those who don't laugh) for some new directions in treatment and in thought.

| No doubt, there is probably a virus [es] involved here, which may lead all the way back to the mycoplasm/ fibromyalgia theory that all these diseases are all related and are instrumental in breaking down one's immune system. I wanted to comment on the article quoting Savely though. I wonder why there is such emphasis on her treatment/ statement saying there are no parasites involved in Morgellons, when I, as well as many on this forum know very well --and have seen--that we have parasitic worms...granted, they could be present because our immune systems were knocked out by Morgellons, but were not caused by Morgellons--but I am not so sure about this one. Research has indicated that most everyone has parasites and their immune systems keep them in check; so one possible theory could be that if you have Morgellons, they now present a complication and danger because they have free reins within our broken immune systems. Or it could be the other way around. But this is never clarified or discussed whenever Savely is quoted and talks about how anti-parasitic drugs work on Morgellons patients, but she doesn't think there are parasites involved -- I don't understand this... |

| Pd, you know why?? Because the docs actually DON'T KNOW what's going on. Parasites can cause many diseases..they know that..so I think it's just worth a try. I had shingles last summer shortly after that I "caught" Morgellons. Could be there is a pattern with herpes viruses. Either because the immune system is weak and the virus can take over (which I don't think because shingles causing herpes viruses are already existent in the body..they hide in the cells) or Morgellons "organism" use the virus to invade the body. And this causes the outbreak of shingles. I believe that the Morgellons "organism" USES hidden bacteria such as Lyme and/or Herpes Viruses to "take over". ....Research has indicated that most everyone has parasites and their immune systems keep them in check; so one possible theory could be that if you have Morgellons, they now present a complication and danger because they have free reins within our broken immune systems. Or it could be the other way around.... Parasites are definitely involved. For my opinion your statement is right. It could be just another co-infection... Katinka |

| I read an article about the government (5+ years ago)using/researching vericella zoster-chickent pox virus in reference to germ warfare. Most people have the anti-body and it is very debilitating when it becomes shingles. I, too, had shingles, before morgellans. I was told by a dermatologist on my first beakout on my face that is was shingles Iafter my real shingles) and had 3 x the normal anti-bodies of vericella zoster at that time in my system. It looked like a line of buckshot not blisters though. It was excruciating. Two of the babysitters came down with shingles after being at my house which I thought was strange. Children must now be vaccinated vericella zoster and they have required a booster vaccine within the last two years for some reason which I find very odd. It would make sense they are covering their butts and trying to be nice to us since they may know what they created are trying to protect the children from this monster. ??? sh |

| Excerpt: "they tested lesions from seven Morgellons patients as well as biopsied skin samples from a healthy control population. They found agrobacterium in all seven Morgellons patients and none was found in the control group." ----------------------------------------- Most Recent: In the 2010 Conf. Video's ---- Dr. Wymore found ZERO agrobacterium on ALL morgellons patients. ----------------------------------------- Makes no sense. ---------------------------------------- ---------Is this the right article everyone is looking at? Oak Hill Gazette: The community newspaper for Southwest Austin Because this is an OLDER article after the 2009 Conference. --------------------------------------- Could not get anything NEW from the link hilly supplied above?????? Where is it? Is there a different link that I am missing? Thank you! ![]() In the 2010 video's, Dr. Wymore said that 2 weeks ago (March 2010) samples were sent to various labs. Are those results back? . |

| Kmar I think that since the posts on the thread are dated 2009 that they were referring to the conference and the article about it from that year. Quote:
