| OH SHOOT!! Just when I cut mine off. Excerpt: The mechanical energy produced when your body moves could be harnessed to power electronic gadgets thanks to what researchers are calling a “nanogenerator.” The nanotech device is made of tiny zinc oxide nanowires, which have piezoelectric properties–meaning that they generate a tiny electrical pulse when they’re bent, stretched, or otherwise subjected to mechanical stress. According to Zhong Lin Wang, lead researcher, the device could be used to charge gadgets such as iPods and BlackBerrys as well as having a impact on defence technology, environmental monitoring and biomedical sciences. “This technology can be used to generate energy under any circumstances as long as there is movement,” he said New “Nanogenerator” Could Power Your iPod With Your Own Movements | 80beats | Discover Magazine posey |

| Posey - I saw that article this morning and came close to bringing it here, too. It demonstrates just another of the incredibly diverse capacities of nanotechnology. Seems they can do just about anything with it..... SS |

| Posey - I just came across this: Saturday, 28 March 2009 Eat Food Not Nanotechnology I ordered some protein powder for my husband and they included a sample of Nitro-Tech Hardcore. Just for giggles, I opened the brochure. It was filled with bulging ape men and dissected blood vessels. I scanned the packet which explains the nanomolecular hyperdispersion technology. It's anabolically engineered for ultra-absorption of nanoparticulated amino acid peptides, yo. That's when I saw the warning. WARNING: Taking this product without adequate fluid may cause it to swell and block your throat or esophagus and may cause choking. Do not take this product if you have difficulty swallowing. If you experience chest pain, vomiting or difficulty in swallowing or breathing after taking this product, seek immediate medical attention. Wow! And LOL. So if you're twirling around clutching your chest and vomiting - that's bad. You should call someone. Oh, right. You can't talk. Skwigg Blog SS Last edited by Sadsack; March 28th, 2009 at 06:53 PM. |

| Actually I'm really scared. When it gets to be around 3 PM I don't want to be awake anymore. I've had all I can take for one day. If I have to use my car I absolutely can not stand it. I swear they have taken up housing and made a breeding grounds out of it. My car makes me fell so irritable. I can't wait to get out of it. Fibers grow all over in it. I can't wear my seatbelt due to the baby one's being on the edges. It's not frayed, they are "them". posey |

| Maybe we already have this. Could we be the guinea pigs? Is there a sentence in these stories missing: "something went wrong and need to tweak the bugs" posey maybe it's just too early for me to think yet. however, if the above were the case i wish these so called nanowires would power me up FOXNews.com - Flowing Blood Could Power iPods, Cell Phones - Science News | Science & Technology | Technology News |

it may be too late for this---or you have already tried it, but I've found the dry ice overnight in the car really helps. put some strong, wide tape over all the vents you can find and put about 15 lbs of dry ice in there for the night. (i put mine in a big metal casserole pan!) in the morning, air it out a bit. i think accudoc's original suggestion was to vacuum afterwards, but i've only done it the first time. in the early days, when I wasn't sleeping more than a few hours a night, I would drive to work and doze in my car---it was the only place to not get biting or crawling! xokelley |
