Default Is it safe to go swimming?

hi everyone---

i used to swim laps at a gym pool for exercise before this started and I'd like to start up again, but have been too nervous. i get the sense that a lot of people think this is water-borne.

this particular pool is a saline pool---i'm not sure if that means no chlorine, or very little or what. it sure felt nice to swim in!

anyway---just wondering what you all think....

thanks,
kelley

Default Salt water better for me...

I don't know if anyone here has had the same but I used to go into sisters pool it was chlorine and never failed each time after I had been in spa or pool her pool would turn green and the chem. balance would get messed up . She has changed to salt water since and it doesn't happen anymore. I dont think these things like the salt .

Yup...salt kills parasites. this is why cows have a salt lick and also why (until recently anyway) diseases rarely come from the ocean (in fact the ocean cures some diseases) but commonly do come from brackish bay type water.

I would think a saline pool to be a good thing. You'd be getting the salt into your eyes, ears, nose and mouth to kill the buggers.

thanks wendee and kritters!

part of this is also just getting over the discomfort of feeling self-conscious about the rashes on my body. i'm really dreading the warm weather---i haven't had a summer yet with morgellons--and don't relish the thought of more body-baring clothing.

Well, look at the bright side, Kel.....

you'll have fewer people in the pool to worry about bumping into.
