Hello everyone, I just came across a webpage on thyroid problems and read about how the thyroid is triggered by a chain reaction in the brain: Thyroid Problems Causes, Symptoms Diagnosis, and Treatment on eMedicineHealth.com So the chain reaction starts in the hypothalamus and is regulated by the pituitary gland. Dr Staninger said that the pituitary gland was implicated with morgellons - she mentioned it as the "3rd eye" area at the front of the brain. We know that morgies have low body temperature - our themostats are controlled by the hypothalamus. So its very possible that the morgellon organisms are affecting not only our memories, but also these two centres of control. I'd assume this would happen via the release of a chemical or toxin. Lastly, if thyroid dysfunction is measured by the amount of hormone in the blood..its not actually giving a clue as to where the problem lies. Thyroid disease??...or actually a healthy thyroid but pituitary and/or hypothalamus dysfunction instead? Sorry!! I feel better now. How come I've turned into such a geek??![]() Jo xxx

Cheers Kritty - interesting about you seeing a lyme specialist. Was his 'Specialism' in being a moron?! You gonna get any second opinions? Maybe you've been looking after your thyroid with all those lemon and basing soda sessions and B vits??! Love ya Jo xxx

Hey Joey! LOL yep.... specializing in moron and does a good job of it. It is so obvious the man is clueless and just wants to capitalize on it. At the desk on the wall is a sign stating they give flu shots. There ya go! They probably have mercury specials for the lucky 100th patient. He was reluctant to do any other tests other than the standard for Lyme because he knew insurance wouldn't compensate if the CD57 was used instead of the western blot and elisa. He walked out of the room without a word to me after scribbling on the sheet. I have only really been focusing on the organic green tea with lemon and GSE, so maybe that works. I had some major palps just about an hour ago for no damn good reason that kept me down, but I hadn't had that in a few months, at least. I think I'll start the tsp of soda in the water again ;-) xoxo love ya, Kritts
