Hey Morgie family, I have so many water bottles I put tea and other things into laying around because I keep them with me, forget where they are, etc, (not just green tea...sometimes use fruity tea to pump up flavor). I first make a pot of tea and keep in ceramic pot until needed (big mistake) and also put some in a tiny little white bowl to use paper towel to apply to my face until the next brew and after the teabag was used once. So, one day I picked up this bottle and took a swig. Hmmmm....what's this in my mouth? Looked at the cap (nipple-type) and see some gelatinous crap stuck in it also, spit out (used Marc's mouthwash right away) and then used fork to pick up the blobs and put under the scope. Here are some pics. Some could actually be antibacterial bacteria (possibly from the green tea, Jo?). Remember to double click on each to enlarge. More on next post. Kritts

The purple one is such as I was playing with the color feature on my camera. The one that looks like it's pushing through a membrane may actually just be the water (or whatever) receding around it) or...it's growing and pushing the water (or whatever) out. These look a lot like the pics from the MDR report. I'll try to juxtapose similar pics in another post. Kritts

Hey Cyn.... They look exactly like some of the MRF posts. We could have been star scopists!!! Well then....now we just have to figure out where they really came from (why they are in the water, which sources and are they in the water because of exposure to air). Most importantly, WHAT ARE THEY REALLY? AND WHY ARE THEY CAMPING OUT IN US? Kritts

Hi Kritts, I wish I knew. I think they most likely get in the water from the air into our aqua ducts. My question is can the water districts do anything to treat this or is it too small in its original form and not affected by standard sterilization practices. Have you noticed your shower getting dirty much quicker as well? They also seem to thrive in the hot water heater. We were thinking of switching over to a tankless style. ![]() ![]()
