Default Some important questions...

1. Has anyone experienced there skin taking in ink from clothing. My ears and feet have been absorbing the ink from my socks and bandanas.

2. Has anyone experienced being around others who start to sneeze, scratch eyes and nose?

3. Has anyone noticed much more dust around them and in there environment?

4. While I shed skin, am I contaminating my environment and affecting others? I believe that in my worse state, I was very toxic to others and my enviromnent.

5. Does anyone know if the fungus portion of the disease is contagious? I have been going through different stages of the illness and the most recent has been shedding and a type of athletes foot and hand. My concern is that the fungus is contagious.

6. Can I wear makeup ever again? I was wondering if all my makeup is contaminated. I haven't worn any since this began and wondered if you have experience with this.

That's all for now. I'm off to purchase lemons, vinegar and such. Ah, the life we now lead is a peculiar one to me.

Thanks,
Melissa

Melissa...I just wanted to comment on the "shedding" thing...I have a black purse and matching wallet, both made of a nylon type material...not a Gucci for sure...and I have to brush it off when I get ready to go in anywhere...sometimes I can even make it worse trying to do that because it seems my hands will even make it look worse after brushing it off...my hands are definitely dry, but they always have those little fibers on them or in them, and I think that or skin(from fungus that you cannot see, except microscopicly)gets on it too...I think it is the Morgellon's fibers/parasites, and I even see them at stores on things...I am not sure how we got this or why, but I believe that my stepfather, mother, son, sister, and others have this too, but don't realize it...I go to their houses and I see the same signs in their bathrooms, like the specks and debris everywhere...after going with my son to eat, I got out of his car, and I had a million of the whitish fibers all over my sweater...He was already gone, and did not see them, but does not believe that there is anything in his car or that he has anything...I don't understand because my son's car is covered up in them...yet he has no symptoms and yet, his things and his room show all the signs too.same goes with the rest of the family(that live elsewhere)the only one that I believe has symptoms is my stepfather, and he has Diabetes...they also diagnosed him as having skin lymphoma...but did chemo and did not help...It makes you wonder about the infectious components of this disese...And yet, I believe it would not matter if I were around them or not, I believe you will get this from the environment, regardless of whether you are around someone who has it...because I was at my sister's house, 2 hours from here and saw them on her brick on the outside of the house, too...of course, also in her bath, and even on her sweater< but no complaints of anything except for headaches and some type of recently diagnosed AVM, I think it was...where the blood vessels in her head are kind of tangled and puts pressure on certain ones...something like that, but they decided that it is better to do nothing unless it gets bad...

Back to what I was saying about the stuff on your hands...I am so embarrassed sometimes to get my wallet out, because it has little white specks all over it, like dandruff or something, probably is my skin, but there are also the fibers on it too...the white ones I will brush off, but the clear shiny ones embed theirselves into the fibers so that I cannot get them...and if I tilt it in the light, I can see that the whole thing is practically covered up too...so unless I saturate it with Eco-vie, I do not see how in the world I could ever get rid of them all...

I have also seen the clear shiny ones, go into the wood of a table , so unless you throw away everything in your complete house, down to being stripped naked, and then move somewhere else, well, they aren't going away....so unless you get rid of them internally and externally with the meds, I think they will be here to stay...so until I can get a doctor to treat me, and that is my goal, but not going to see one until I know that he specifically treats Morgellon's Disease, well, until I have the fungus/bacteria gone, and my immune system strengthened, I know they are here to dwell in my body and around me...so my next question is going to be for Bubba, because I want to know if she thinks I should go to the doctor in Colorado that Lady Colorado is seeing, Chairman of the Board of Morgellon's Disease Research, or is there one closer to me that would be just as knowledgeable...I want the catheter meds, personally, to get the damned things out of me, and out of me faster....I can't take this stuff anymore....It is driving me crazy, not to mention that my teeth are going to fall out of my head, if I don't do something fast...
I apologize if I have got off the subject and rattled as I usually do, my mind goes in a million directions...good luck to you and your children in this nightmare...I cannot imagine if my child was still small and I had to take care of him too...I can barely take care of myself sometimes...Kentucky haze

melissaj, i am going to suggest some things on oral hygiene in regards to morgellons disease. if bubba has anything to interject, thats cool. i am no doctor, but have found some things helpful. if your mouth is very bad, try this: gargle with peroxide 3 times a day full strength. it will sting perhaps at first, but the disease hates peroxide. can alternate with a new type of listerine, it is better than the others: listerine is now making a type call Advanced Listerine With Tartar Control antiseptic. it is very cool and minty, to once again get control of your mouth back. here is toothpaste advice: the baking soda and peroxide toothpaste is GREAT! (two things once again the disease hates). make sure as safety pecaution put peroxide on toothbrush before, and if like after use. hope this helps, my friend. (LC)p.s. dont forget to brush mouth and tongue as disease like to infiltrate there. brush twice daily.

Absorbing ink from clothes?

well I absorb the textures and fibers and smells and chemicals solutions that I spray down any parasite in my clothing that I am wearing, and that is in contact with the colonies in my body. (such as spraying the OUTSIDE of my shoes, or sitting on a recently sprayed and damp chair.)
and the "feel" of my parasite mimics the feel of the fabric he came from. (scratchy rough wool, prickly pine needle mulch, soft fuzzy pillow stuffing, fine allergy-producing itchy but silky cat hairs, etc.)

Anyway, the parasites frequently will utilize the tools of the environment around them, either to neutralize the hostile elements of it, or to facilitate forming their fibrous sheaths, I think.

I am of the opinion that we probably shed parasite cells, clone organisms, immature forms, and many eggs on a regular basis. However, as has already been pointed out, I also agree this parasite seems to be universally present throughout our environment today. I personally have run into it in most grocery stores, and outside in the garden, here in Oregon. Yet, the majority of people are able to remain asymptomatic. So, I don't think that we need to extraordinary precautions. I do NOT believe that WE are terribly toxic to our environments. This parasite is already out there.

I wear bandages when I have ANY un-scabbed, raw, or oozing wounds on my hands. I do not touch any open wounds on my face, when I am in public, and if I do, I go wash my hands, and use DSP cream on them. I try to avoid a lot of hand holding, or food preparation with my young Girl Scouts. I would never share any bedding, towels, linens, brushes, personal items, etc. I only hold meetings in my home for adults--the girls meet at another leader's home. If the girl is sick, I recommend that she stay home from scouts. All my parents are aware that I have this illness, and I have sent them details discussing what little is known about it.

Make-up: I figure that most of the time my skin cannot tolerate it, and while I apply it with the same precautions concerning the applicators that Bubba recommends, I figure that chances are reasonable that the actual make-up may get contaminated as well. I use a pretty in-expensive mascara, so I can replace it pretty often, and I like a lip-liner (over my entire lips) better than Lipstick, because it seems like it is LESS likely to get contaminated--the moist & wet make-ups are the most suspect in my mind. However, it is probably the same old bugs that you are already living with, and you can hopefully kill them off, with the regular treatments that you are using... (no different than sitting down in your favorite chair, and getting a just a little tiny love nibble, right?)

It's not perfect. We may discover at some future date that we have spread this illness. I would NOT work in a neonatal intensive care nursery with this infection, in an operating room, in a cancer ward, with immune compromised patients, etc. But until we learn more and have better information and understanding; we also deserve to have a life and regain our own sanity and perspective.

Thanks for all the information. My tongue was very bothered for a few days. It is so interesting to me that as I conquer one aspect of this bug, another occurs that I have not experienced thus far. I honestly wanted so badly to not have to stay on this site. I'm sorry that I actually am writing that, but it is so exhausting. My kids have some new bites and athletes foot. I don't want them to suffer as I did. I'm being as positive as possible, but when do the specs of black stop? Do they eventually? My dishwasher and refrigerator are a big concern to me. I'm trying to figure this out and I am so perplexed. Does anyone know the how long the life cycle is? I've come very far, but those untouched areas (the boys' closet today) are still giving me trouble.

Have a good night.

Love,
Melissa

Before you even tackle the boys closet, spray it down good with Fabreeze, or Pet enzyme cleaner on the carpet on the floor, or eco-vie, or put in Menthol crystals, and throw in about a million Bounce dryer sheets everywhere, and THEN come back in a day or two to clean it.

Try lotrimin cream on the feet 2X day, and a tolnaftate (tinactin) powder in the socks AND shoes, and try to rotate the shoes so that they are alternating between 2 pairs every other day, and the second pair is drying out with tinactin powder and bounce sheets inside it, over a heater vent or register on the alternative day. You can even put DSP cream Over the lotrimin cream just for double protection.

Dishwasher--you can get "citra-solv" dishwashing liquid or a enzyme based cleaner "bi-o-kleen" (just put a .com and you can find both of those manufacturers, easily.) Run it on its hottest cycle, and always use heated drying, and a no-streak glass cleaner in the liquid dispenser. (the extra surfactant keeps any bugs from trying to "stick" around on things.)

Refrigerator--you simply need to wipe it down and clean it out inside and outside thoroughly with your best household cleaning products. Keep foods in sealed containers INSIDE the fridge. spread boric acid powder under & behind your fridge. place several bounce dryer sheets there, but be careful that they are NOT interfering with the air circulation around your cooling coils. Put some menthol crystals or powder (maybe crushed cough drops that are sugar free???) under there.

Tackle ONE thing at a time. I still haven't gotten back to the fridge, lately, LOL! I just keep sealing things up real well, before they go in there...

Thank you for all of your input. I know you lived in South Florida so you can empathize. I already did the bottom of the closet and in all the bins there was lint, fibers, and black specs. I put salt in the drawers under all of our beds and there is dried up black specs everywhere.

I clean the refrig. everyday, but I have been putting my purse in there and I think I am making it worse. I need to seal it. I thought they would die from the cold. I am putting all my sock and undies and hair items in a zip lock in the freezer. I keep most of my cleansers and moisturizers in there also. I noticed a dramatic impovement in the washer and dryer and have started going to the laundry mat and leaving everything in the clear bags. I plan on buying storage containers for all the drawers. I will put stuff back in the containers and then in the drawers.

I am having lots of issues in the particle board in the kitchen. How should I seal it? I am taking things day by day, but I have too much stuff for 1 mom and 2 boys, but I have many involvements (paperwork, calendars, etc.), books, toys, etc. These days lately all I do is clean, shop, research and go to the doctor. Whenever I take a break, there's an outbreak. Time to dump more!!

I am going to start another post about some more questions I have and to give some good info. about something i tried today.

Thanks for all your assistance.

Melissa

Melissa--
I'm having a little giggle if you don't mind at the idea of putting on those frozen undies. That's REALLY getting the chilly-willies!!
Try just putting your panties into ziplocks with fresh Bounce dryer sheets, and lots of menthol cough drops. Morgellons doesn't usually die from cold very fast/effectively.

I keep my purse stuffed with menthol cough drops, and when I am home, I keep it hanging around a door knob or the top of the stair rail because then it is not in contact with chairs, floor, shelves, or any article of clothing. I can't tell you how nasty it is when you get a bunch of sharp biting fiber parasites in the bottom of your purse... They will latch onto every last item in your darn purse and contaminate the heck out of it. I never carry a fabric or cloth bag anymore because of that.

William--the place that I last got menthol crystals from-- when I checked, is no longer carrying them. I don't know another source, right now, sorry! I will try looking around. They are great stuff. Let me know if you locate any.

Does menthol keep them away from that area? Where do they go? I read on another site a few weeks back about the menthol crystals and diffuser. Maybe it was here. I have been using menthol rubs, powders, oils and baths. I had a spritz of menthol/eucalyptus from a company with the name Watkins in it from Walmart. I had spent so much money so I didn't order it back then. If I find it, I will let you know.

Thanks for all of the tips.

What about the microwave? Does anyone nuke 'em? I have been trying this out also (read it on another site) Desperate times call for desperate measures.

I'm off to bathe and battle.

Melissa
