| I am curious as to whether anyone else has experinced this symptom but at night, now almost every night, as soon as I lay down and relax, I can feel streams of what I think are fibers coming out of my nose, eyes, ears, mouth, eyebrows, and almost anywhere else on my face and sometimes on the rest of my body. This keeps me awake because I can feel the fibers leaving me and hear them fall on my bedding. Yet I can't really see anything except for a few small grains of sand here and there. The craziest part is that the fibers "dance" on my pillow and make this little crackling sound which is very distracting and I have a difficult time getting to sleep. I hesitate even mentioning this because it is so weird and sometimes wonder if I am going crazy. I REALLY need to know if anyone else has or is experiencing this. danegirl |

| I hear the noises too Danegirl.Lots of us do but don't like to admit it . If you switched a backlight on while this was happening you see them all around you, just for a few seconds. Whatever they might be, they are more active when we are asleep.Put Menthol crystals inside your pillowcase. It helps me . carla xxx |

| Carla, Thank you so much. I really needed some validation that this was real, even though I know it is real. I will try the menthol crystals because the little crackling noises annoy me and keep me awake. Man I must just be full of those litlle buggers. danegirl |

| When I get in bed, I can also hear the sound of fibers. I know some are leaving, but at the same time, I also think that the ones that are in my bed, mattress pad and pillow are coming through the sheets and biting me. I just went through a heavy outpouring of "whatever" and when I took the mattress pad off of my bed, the fibers were almost 1/2" high and there were huge fuzz balls all under my mattress pad. When I wake up in the morning, I feel like I have been stung by bees all over. Tonight I am going to try a less "cushy" mattress and no pad and see what happens. I have tried plastic covering, but I really think it comes right through. I have a horrible case and I think began detoxing a little too aggressively. Where do you get menthol crystals? Health food type store? Thanks, Tracy |

| I have my mattress enclosed in a zippered plastic cover. On the top of this I scatter loads of Bicarbonate, and under the pillow.I find this keeps them down as I had a load of blue fibre balls stuck under the electric blanket which took me a large part of my remaining life to remove, and I don't intend doing that again.Anyway since the Bicarb I have no further fuzz balls. Also spray the bed with a water spray containing Essential oils,e.g.Thyme,lavender,patchouli etc.

| I got myself a nice big one lb bag of crystals at a health food store and a little cheap glass diffuser and tealight candles and burned the crystals in a little water before bedtime and that seemed to settle my bedroom down. Made me relax anyway. If you use Denorex exfoliating shampoo right at bedtime you will get a great result as well. It has menthol and salicylic acid which will sooth the itching and exfoliate the top layers of fibers which make us itch after showering. Never heard any crackling in my ears but am sure that would be distressing. Something funny on a sidenote. When I first discovered the menthol crystals I didn't know that they are quite pungent and did NOT use them sparingly in my automobile and was driving down the road with my head out the window until I could get all but one of them out from under my seat. A little goes a long way. My spouse will attest to this. haha....he called me Vicks girl for the longest time. Good luck. Morgan |

| I have not "heard" the fibers, but i can sure find them on the bed sheets daily. My thought is that the tiny particles are embedded in the woven parts of the sheets from the water in the wash. That they react to heat and moisture ...by opening and tortioning into fiberballs...makes for some great microscopic photos. Before i go to bed, i roll the sheets off with a paint roller size sticky tape roller(Target home cleaning section $9). Its like making a fresh canvas for the fiber artist....and the next day....presto, there are more masterpieces to collect. This effort of tapeing the bed everyday...has calmed the situation down greatly. Now, i have a new problem....i dont want to wash the sheets wondering if the whole thing is going to start over. Of course that is not realistic, so i proceed and pay the price of buying the expensive refills of roller tape(50 sheets=$9). Actually...i have gotten used to this artist who works thru the night, and my attitude is changed from fear to humor to see if there is anything new in the gallery mix on my sheets. Nope...its always the same stuff, and i have "tapped " the sand and gelballs, and rods and pods under the scope and seen what is inside them. They appear to be a dried form of what is in my lesions. Their goal to expand, can be seen in assending and decending stages of springing forth into fibers and winding themselves into fiberballs. Or springing from a fiberball into an individual fiber that is filled with singlefile balls. I imagine each ball wants to become a "Mr.Bean" within its own house stuck in a skin pore. The shere multitude of these things seems to be how some actually succeed success in the attempt. Reducing the multitude daily on any surface seems to make a huge difference. The question is...why is it there. And then how much effort and time do i have to deal with this? My answer would be "none"....but that is the problem we are forced to deal with ..... until the source of it ,can be recconed with. Many surfaces are not covered with bed sheets....and this stuff collects on them from the air. But, the bed sheets...how do they get there? Are they coming out of our bodies or going into them? Here is a study that is new with photos from the hot water tank. I was glad we just got a new one before i read this report. But...i have also collected a big gooey strand of this critter from a freshily poured glass of cold water. Morgellons(click on PHASE1,new photos, located in blue box on top left).Also....i have been given the opportunity from friends who do not have this "skin discernment."...to roll their bed sheets. It is on theirs also! Last edited by chester; October 10th, 2008 at 07:07 AM. |

Yes this is pretty normal stuff for many morgies. I don't get the noise, but others do, but at night my fibers come alive with intense movement. I get a few different types the knotted/boa constrictor little fibers, these move lightening fast and can rapidly come out of the skin and more rapidly go back in if you pull them out with fingernails and not tape, there are theseacordian or ziggyzaggy ones which dont move quite as fast but have a tendency to break apart inside and out. Then there are the straight ones slower moving if the move, oh and just for confusion, they don't all move just some of them, wetter and fresher maybe? I have the fake hairs and linty hair stuff that collects in my brush. So when the lights are out=more movement warmth=more movement night time=more movement Namaste and you are not imagining this! ![]() |
