| Okay, I FINALLY got my scope to work after......(you just don't want to know) so much effort, anxiety, frustration, anger, name it. So, I unwrapped my piled up slides, protected in saran wrap, poured a glass of wine, and went to town. "WOW" I screamed! I FORGOT about this one! And THIS one! Too bad they lost their luster and vivid reds and blues. In fact....forget vivid...forget the reds and blues. Anyway, I'm sorry to offer such lame photos, but by golly I went through hades and back for these that made it this far, so if you don't want to see them....click ahead to another post. That's IF I can post them. These compare my fibers with cotton. Interesting how when the cotton fiber is in oil, you can see specks inside as well as other lines. I used cotton from 100% cotton balls. The first pic is what I got from my arm. Don't forget you can click on each pic to see it enlarged. | This is the last group. I hope I didn't have too many repeats. The last was the remnant of the tick removed from my back. I notice how, looking closely, there seem to be the same fiber-looking entities running through the body as well as how the outline of the body looks a lot like some of the 'pods' I've retrieved from my body. I also have been wondering, and I know I'm weird in my thinking, that, if ticks can regenerate bodies after being de-headed, might they not be able to do that inside OUR bodies? Or, could they, once attached and spewing their lovely pathogens, give birth to baby combos of new organisms, like.....frankenfungalticks? I know, I know.... as usual. My mind is working overtime and will not be paid for the efforts. Kritts. don't forget to double click on each picture. I should have writtten "flecks containing pods" Last edited by Kritters; October 6th, 2008 at 11:40 PM. |

Kritters and Dragonfly....thanks for the photo display, and for all the work to put it here, to set the personal battle with this mysterious substance together to compare. This time consuming "class "we find ourselves giving so much time to....in time will help us to know better if we are dealing with one mystery....or many. There are so many variables to consider and overcome. Different ages of samples, different microscopes, and different stages of growth.....and the necessity of defining which designs are of anatomy of the organism, and what is the designs of its medium of growth and secretions and excretions and defenses, and reproduction. In time...i think we will see more clearly "what is what".....and bring this mess and mass of bizarre evidence to a "first class" validation of "whats up" with this stuff.

yes, Chester...it's good to have as many pict ures as we can to compare and determine and classify different organisms. I'm fairly certain I do not have what you or Jo or Dragonfy have based on what your pictures alone show. My samples, although some are a few months older than others, remain the way they looked originally, except for the fading of some reds and blues. Otherwise, they haven't changed. I have nothing which resembles yours and dragonflys. You say you have abalone growing in your face, and dragonfly has something undistinguishable. Jo has flies and other things going on, which I do not. The value of this comparison, I think, is to determine what is and what is not as well as which symptoms are similar to 'Morgellons' and to find a possible common connection. Kritters

Well done Kritters!!! Good work. I'm excited because I know your scope's got some serious magnification going on. I've definitely seen some of your fungal shapes on post 3 very recently online....I'll have a scooby and get back to ya. Congratulations on getting the beast working Jo xxx

Wow Kritts - you really are a fungus magnet! Makes for some pretty artwork though - or perhaps inkblots, depending on your mood. ![]() Thanks for the pics!
