| Jo, What about fatigue? Just a thought, even though some do not have fatigue. Unfortunately, I am one who is tired all the time. Nice work! Kmarie |

| Kritts: Yesterday I was having a conversation with someone and he had a long-sleeved shirt on. Suddenly he moved his arm and I saw small but several lesions on. This would have been a perfect time to whip out a card. Same thing months ago when a girl in a store I was in had lesions all over her face. I whimpped out from approaching her. (new at this) I think the word LESIONS that won't heal? are key. and NO HELP FROM DOCTORS? Hey, either you insult them or help them. It's their choice. It would be a good idea to put either YOUR avatar or phone number/email address on your own cards. Avatar might be best in case they want to report you or something :-) I say 'you' meaning 'all of us'. Faithinacure: "Greetings All: How about "Bug Extraordinaire" |

| I had an idea the other day that maybe it would be an idea for the artistic among us to design a global morgs t-shirt.I'm not artistic but some of u are.I'm soooo etreeeeme, left to me it would be something like 'Morgs-infecting a friend near you soon' Seriously, though it would be an idea to get the word out about morgs what d'ya think??

| Somehow I think many people would be offended if a total stranger were to walk up to them and hand them a card about morgellons. For one thing, they may already know what they have and it may not be morgellons at all. IMO it seems rather presumptuous to walk up to someone one does not know at all, not even in the slightest, and hand them a card or start a discussion about morgellons. Not every skin lesion is morgellons. I think it would be offensive to assume that it is. There are many other causes of skin lesions. Some of the other reasons for lesions may be the cause of our lesions too or at least they may be part of the background cause of symptoms for some. Some people do not want people to notice their afflictions (the reason for long sleeves) and may be quite sensitive about anyone noticing them publicly. It could violate their sense of privacy about personal medical issues for someone to try to discuss it in a public area. I continue to respect every person's right to privacy unless they themselves bring it up for discussion. |

| TC, I agree What to do, what to do.... Handing someone a card is kinda obtrusive. "HEY, NICE LESIONS! GETTING ANY HELP FOR THAT, ARE YA?" For one thing, though, I don't think we here on this forum all have Morgellons either. And I think some of the information we are finding will help some and not others. But it definitely will help some. As for that salesgirl with the lesions all over her face, she obviously is aware she has them and I'm sure she gets all kinds of stares and whispers. If it were me, and that's if it were ME, I'd rather someone be upfront who has knowledge to help me than the stares and whispers. But again, that's me. Obviously, she's not being helped by anyone, but on the other hand again, it's really none of my business. I'm a weird personality. If I'm standing in line with someone who has beautiful hair, I'll tell compliment it. Or skin. Or clothes. Or whatever. But that doesn't give me the right to address someone's lesions. I would probably be ignorant and risk it if it might help someone, though. Again, that's me. I wouldn't discuss it with someone in a public area. I would hand them a card. Or even better, hand out flyers to that person and everyone immediately around them so they don't feel singled out. Yeah! THAT'S the ticket!!! Or we could all just get 7 t-shirts with the catchy phrase and hope they notice! Or just walk back and forth in front of them until they read it. | Hi there, TC - totally agree. I'm working on the idea that stickers can be worded to be attention grabbing, and Pat - yes so could t-shirts. Good idea. Car stickers would work this way too. These things would be about getting the term 'Morgellons' out there. A visual affect - no human to human interaction necessary. The cards need more thought. They need to be more sensitive and give the most vital information. I wasnt really thinking of giving cards out to strangers....unless my heart really told me too...that could happen. But I've missed opportunities to leave strangers a card after a conversation. Also, I know several people that I could drop a card through the door to. They could also be used to put in local libraries, information points etc. Even attached to letters to professionals. So really this is two projects...Keep those thoughts a coming. Jo xxx |
