Default Carpal tunnal from filarial infection

Over time I've noticed a number of people with Morgellon's complain of symptoms relating to carpal tunnel or neuropathy in feet, etc. Could there be a connection here?

Article "Accute Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Due to Filarial Infection"

ScienceDirect - Pathology - Research and Practice : Acute Carpal Tunnel Syndrome due to Filarial Infection

Summary
A case of acute carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) due to filarial infection is reported in a resident of Newfoundland, Canada. The patient presented with classical symptoms and signs of acute CTSand a filarial worm was identified in synovial tissue removed during surgery that was morphologically consistent with the genus Brugia. Antifilarial antibodies were present in serum. Surgical removal of the infected tissue, without administration of antifilarial drugs, proved adequate in eradicating the infection and a subsequent serum sample was negative for antifilarial antibodies. The patient remains asymptomatic more than two years after surgery. This case is unusual in its clinical presentation and geographic location.

Key words: Acute carpal tunnel syndrome; Filaria; Brugia

Hi Morgan,

Thanks - could be...and/or the Lyme

This study concluded that a significant proportion of patients with late Lyme borreliosis develop carpal tunnel syndrome:

My mom suffers from peripheral neuropathy in her feet. She is trying acupuncture but it is not helping much. She does not have diabetes, and is very healthy and active (besides when her feet hurt).

Any suggestions would be appreciated! She has been my only support for what I am going through and I'd like to reciprocate!

Jonsi,
I wish I could be of some help, but alas. How about the tetox pads? Might they work from the bottom up on her? Couldn't hurt. You know, it's interesting that my toes (big toes esp) are so much more sensitive now than ever. I just touch them and I go through the roof. I do remember reading how sometimes parasites manifest themselves in the feet. I bet TCM knows. I'm surprised accupuncture didn't help. You know, accupuncture doesn't always give immediate results. All of a sudden you can find weeks or months later, even the last session that there is a change. According to 'reflexology' there is a zone in your feet for everywhere in your body. Are certain areas of the feet more painful than others? Are they swollen?

Again, I so wish I had some answers.

Hi Jonsi,

I'm wondering about them foot pads for your mum too. Pat and her friends are having great results with them.

Also, how about that lyme neuropathy lemon smoothie:

THE WHOLE LEMON DRINK MIRACLE FOR LYME NEUROPATHY

This is a great drink for people with Lyme and other illnesses, as it will help you absorb fats again and cleanses the liver and gallbladder without doing the harsh gallbladder flush. It actually cures neuropathy in most people!Remember that half the battle is detoxification, so this is a great, simple protocol!
RECIPE FOR WHOLE LEMON DRINK

(Promotes weight gain by detoxifying the liver and normalizing saliva pH values)

Into a blender, cut up one whole lemon, rind and pulp. Be sure to first wash the lemon well and scrape off markings from artificial coloring. Add 1 cup of water; one Tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and 4 rounded Tablespoons of frozen Orange Juice concentrate. Blend at high speed for one minute. Pour through a strainer (screen type) to remove pulp. Use a spatula to press the pulp.

Is there a cure for disease?

Hi Jonsi,

Here is a thought, could there be some kidney involvement? I know in my own case I have had a lot of tingling in my feet which is improving over time with my antiviral medication. Viruses do follow the nerve pathways. What is really making a difference lately is also using a liquid herbal kidney cleanse formula at night before bed. I am noticing a lot less tingling in my legs and feet. I think that my attacks of feeling nervous are lessening too.

Still there are many reason people can have neuropathy and this article mentions quite a few of them, plus there seems to be a neuropathy forum as well:

Neuropathy, Peripheral Neuropathy - neurologychannel

Foot pads are on my list! I think I'll treat her to a foot bath too. Her acupuncturist mentioned diet also (hers is acidic, I'm sure). Time for "whole lemon drink miracle" and perhaps a liver flush slush (mmm mmm good )

I will forward the links provided. That's what she's been searching for.

Thanks you guys!!!

Default Morgellons is NOT a skin disease

carple tunnel and a host of other diseases are related, I do not call them diseases as they are SYMPTOMS. Fibrous material is hooked to all the maladys, lung, tumor, liver, cystic fibrosis, sickle cell, fibramialgia, alzheimers, hansens disease, all are related, just start puting things like fibrous kidneys, fibrous lesion. You name it.

Hi Baraka Obam,

Please don't get mad if I use you initials Bo... (better than BO ) Welcome to this site!

You are sooo right when you say this goes much deeper than the skin. I had carpal tunnel at my old job, lots of computer entries. It went away after I changed jobs 14 years ago... but it could be related to Morgellons. I believe this gets into every part of our bodies, especially the weak "parts" where we once had injuries.

Natural food/diet and medicines are the key.

In the white light,
