Bill C-51 Will:Allow Government agents to:-

Enter private property without a warrant (Section 23.4)

Confiscate your property at their discretion(Section 23.2 a)

Dispose of your property at their discretion (Section 23.3 c)
Seize your bank accounts without a warrant

Charge you for shipping and storage of your property (Section 23.3a)

Store your property Indefinitely without paying you for damages (Section 23.2 d)

Levy fines of up to $5,000,000.00 / 2 years in jail per offence. (Section 31.1)

Here is my 2 cents:

This is big pharma companies trying to push for this bill because legally, they are not allowed to licence or patenent simple things like amino acids and natural health products..

When you go to a doctor, he gives you a prescription to take care of the symptoms, but what natural medicine does is prevent the cause, and it does not treat the symptom..

Anyways.. the exuse of the big pharma companies are that since these natural health products are not regulated, they can be harmful for people, and sure there have been cases of some people dying, but not many,

but it goes both ways, most people do not know that many people die from acute liver failure from taking simple acetaminophen pills..

I think there's good and bad to this, we need more regulation in the natural products, because we dont know who made it, who grew it, and are we sure that its not contaminated,

but at the same time, we have to fight for our right to have access to natural health products without giving huge profits to huge corporations..

Hi I'm Big Pharma, I have spent millions of dollars to come up with a drug that will seriously affect your health, give you more symptoms, aggrevate your existing symptoms, possibly make you suicidal, help you gain weight, possibly shut down your liver, your kidneys, and other internal organs, guarantee you'll give birth to babies with serious birth defects, and many other things that have been documented. This is why on all of our multi-million dollar commercials we don't tell you what our dear drug is supposed to do, but we have to spend 20 seconds out of a 30 second commercial listing the potential serious health risks. That will be $200 a month for as long as we can get you to keep taking it or we come up with something else that will cost you more.

Thanks for this post. It's pretty depressing stuff to read first thing in the am, but I am copying all of it. I found a link from the FDA a few months back telling that they were about to stop us from purchasing natural medicines without a prescription......
