Default Update!!CDC/Kaiser accepted research candidates

Hello friends,
As promised I received the weblink to my survey which is about an hour long survey. The next part is qualifying for the clinical phase of the research.

I managed to capture a hair-like organism coming out of a lesion on my chin. It is definitely moving. You can download it at Moving Hair

I'll keep you posted on new updates!

A week ago, I was contacted by Joanne at Kaiser's Division of Research "unexplained dermopathy"

She asked me some key questions, then informed me that I was a candidate for the research program.

The next step is to wait for the CDC to contact me via email, instructing me to go to a website, where I will first fill out a lengthy questionairre. After than if needed, I agreed to be part of the clinical research which would entail biopsies, blood samples....

Has anyone else been contacted?

Dear Chocket,

FINALLY, this is the first I've heard of anything related to the CDC/Kaiser study since the Jan. 18th 2008 press conference.
It is now three months later.

Thank you for letting us know that SOMETHING is happening in a forwardly direction.

Margo

Hi Chocket,

Great to hear about the support group.

Noone from MDR has mentioned being in the CDC study. A member from Lymebusters has...worth asking, as I cant remember their ID: http://lymebusters.proboards39.com

Keep in touch,

All the best

Jo

.

I think it was "mercury" from Lymebusters who was contacted.

That is what I believe remember reading.

Don't know many others.

It is taking soooooo long for the CDC to do anything......... Ridiculous, the worse part is if they get there own way it will be just as corrupt as there Lyme disease assessment lets just hope they actually do care this time.

Good to see ya Jason

Yeh. I was surprised that they hadnt started testing patients yet.

They are very behind on the original timeline issued when the contract request went out.

I'd be very interested to see a revised schedule, if anyone's been sent one, or found one online.....

Seasprite, maybe this is what you are talking about, this was from the CDC announcement on January 16th, 2008.

Dr. Michele Pearson, principle investigator for the CDC. Direct quote on January 16th, 1008

"To assist in learning about this condition, CDC is conducting an investigation in collaboration with Kaiser Permanente′s Northern California Division of Research and the U.S. Armed Forces Institute of Pathology."

Hi all,

Interesting that the Air Force is involved, given that I read somewhere that it was the US Military Pathology division that released bioengineered organisms into sewer lines to help in breaking down the accumulation in the pipes.Hmm??? I'll try to find the original posting where that was mentioned.
