Default Weird eyelashes

Has anyone else had their eyelashes get really long and begin to loose their color at the ends?

Cindi, Jo, etc.

YES -- I have many extra long eyelashes that are much lighter in color. Also have lots of extra long eyebrow hairs (dark black & thicker than normal). Also my face is now covered with MANY very light thin, longer than normal hairs. Also have the same on forearms, a few are black on face and forearms. Also, hair on head (was mostly grey), now growing in many black thicker ones, the grey are thicker and shinier also. Have noticed that not only do these hairs on head grow quicker and thicker and longer than normal ones, they like to point their ends into my forehead and temple and cause irritation. I have noticed that I have to trim certain hairs of my bangs and sides frequently as they seem to grow longer than others and more quickly. Also have extra long thicker hairs in nose (black and white). These unusual characteristics, for me, are one of the many odd markers for this disease -- as previously, I had very little facial and forearm hair, what little I did have was much shorter, and my prematurely grey head hair was plentiful. Now head hairs falling out continually (although much of it I am sure by texture, size, behavior, etc is not my "real" hair anymore).

Everyone probably could describe much of the same - it will be most interesting to find out what DNA transfer or other biological process is as work in us that transforms normal hair and/or roots, can mimic real hair or manufacturer "fake hair", create matting nets of "hair" above and below the skin surface. I have had this disease for probably 10 years or so (be just recently figured out what I have). Wonder if my "hair" characteristics and observations are different than what others who have had this less time are seeing?

Just want to thank this site for the wonderful work you are doing both in supporting folks and the endless hours of "digging", "searching", and posting related info for us. I definitely think that it will be the diligence & hard work of those aflicted that will end up making the difference in resolving this disease. Also want to thank those of you who have been so supportive in answering my pms!!

I am normally more shy and haven't posted much. As brain fog clears & I get some relief, hope to be able to become more involved and somehow reciprocate. Also appreciate the humor and wit displayed in many posts as "those of you gifted in this arena" make dealing with this so much easier.

Thanks for posting all this information rocklady, very informative and it adds, IMHO, to this topic which is plaguing many who have morgellons symptoms. Although this is not one of my current main symptoms, I think it is part of the morgellons, for lack of a better definition, syndrome. I believe your discussion of this adds to what we know about morgellons symptoms. I had some of these same symptoms at the beginning in my hair (even to seeing a spaghetti-like noodle crawling out of my scalp, same size as a noodle and whitish color) but the only thing which diminished symptoms in my head/scalp was a lice shampoo from Bayer called Rid Pure Alternative with simethicone as the main ingredient. This product eliminated many of the morgs in my scalp early on (what I now think of as the babies, shaped sorta like light gray tadpoles, lucky for me Rid Pure Alternative was still on the market at that time, as I think it smothered a lot of these in infancy). Alas it is no longer on the market although there is a British shampoo for lice also with simethicone I have not tried called Hedrin, bought out recently by an American company but still, as far as I know, not on the market in the US as it has to undergo FDA approval (whatever year that is, meanwhile drugs which do kill are approved left and right). Also I do not know if it works the same way or even it is as effective as the Bayer product which only had to remain on the head 15 minutes while the British Hedrin directions I have read online state it should remain 8 hours. In this case perhaps inert ingredients are everything, but I have no way of knowing for sure since I have only used the Bayer product.

Thanks TCM - Thanks Carla - Thanks all!
Appreciate the encouragement and acknowledging my post - will try to gather the courage to do a bit more.

Re: " your warning about Kritts" - I have been "watching" Kritters in action on the site - love her wit and a few others have it too (you do too!). I think her bark might be louder than her bite, but love the barks too! I have noticed friski behaving just like the name implies (love the spunk). Just joking around folks, no offense intended, appreciate the "banter" - it does lighten things up a bit. Also love the Brit humor interspersed in posts - glad "loo paper" was clarified.

Hey Guys (oops, gals) - Thanks for all the warm welcomes and emoticons (sp?) and please keep up the banter!

Kritz - kinda like a Ritz? - love your name so many things you can do with it - hope someday I am cool enough to be able to use all the smileys and other emotional inserts. They sure seem to be able to express sometimes, what words can not. NOW PLEASE

RL sends xx00xx back at ya!
