I just got a call from a friend of mine in San Diego who is driving and said she just heard about the Morgellons investigation on the radio news.

I AM SOOOOO STOKED !!!!

Kritters

If nothing else is positive at this point, at least the media is taking the ball and running with it.

Well atleast it's getting some attention by the media now, I heard about the CDC'c involvement lastnight on coast to coast AM radio, this morning on the radio while on my way to work, had a friend call me last night saying that the local television station was covering it, had a friend call me this morning telling me he heard about it on an FM station, and another friend called this afternoon saying he heard about it on a different FM station. I'm in northern calif so I suppose thats why so much coverage, hopefully the media will stay on top of it.

My mom wrote me today after seeing the news brief on Good Morning America about this study because she thought it sounded like the symptoms I've been having. I almost fell over. I haven't told anyone that I go on this site for fear of being judged any more than I am already (I know that doesn't sound right, but I hope you all understand what I'm getting at) or that I've even thought of Morgellons. I'm just elated that I can talk with my mom about this now and she believes me! (again, that sounds worse than it's meant to - my mom's a great woman). I'm so glad this disease (or "illness" according to the CDC) has been getting exposure. Maybe the physicians will get a jump on things or at least not diagnose us with DOP right away. It's unfortunate they're expecting the study to take at least 12 months though. Such a long time to wait and create more havoc in our bodies, but I pray it'll all be worthwhile. It has to get better, it just has to.

Well, Meg....
We all know what 'ego' does and in this case it's welcome. All the doctors will say, "oh yeah....I know about it. We've been working on a cure for some time now". These will be the doctors who have laughed us out of the offices with soothing cremes.

that's okay though. Because now it's out of their hands and there will be a change.

I just hope (and I'm not a vindictive person) everyone has the names and documentation of the doctors who had such a great sense of humor for the class action suit.

Kritters

(who's laughing now?)

I'm with you on this one Krit, there really needs to be a suit against any doctor who refused to observe their morgellons patient with even a magnifying glass, it's criminal negligence.

The Drudge Report posted a link to this article on the CDC investigation in Morgellons today. For those that aren't familiar with the Drudge Report, it is an on-line newspaper of sorts that has some original content but mainly links to other breaking news stories from other sources. It also has numerous links to major newspapers and television news sites around the world in addition to many other things. The link they currently show regarding Morgellons is to a brief article - the "headline" is " Unexplained 'Skin-Crawling' Disease Prompts CDC Investigation... ". The Drudge Reports generally gets more than 20 million hits a day and has become a prime "breaking news" source for many other news outlets in recent years. Thus, by the article being posted on there it will get a lot of eyes seeing it. Here's the link to the Drudge Report:

Here's the link to the story itself:

For anyone interested, look on the right hand side of the page on the home page of the Drudge Report for the "Drudge Reference Desk". In addition to the numerous links to news and other sources shown on the home page, the reference desk is a fantastic resource for researching most anything you want around the world. It has links to practically anything you can imagine including lots of local newspapers in most countries around the world, government agencies.........all kinds of stuff. It's a great resource for anyone that wants to research anything. Here's a link to the reference desk:
