I loved your post. I don't have any answers for you except I had the best luck with antifungal creams for the black specks. I still have some on my fingers.

I hope your doctor gave you some antifungal orals to take with the antibiotics. If not you might want to ask him for them.

The DSP and Eco-Vie are great products.

Again, loved your post. Maybe we'll get out of these foxholes someday.

Hey Emily,

Sorry, you may have said before....but have you had your house tested for mold/fungus? These little black flecks and white fuzzballs (actually translucent) are most possibly fungi. I've seen mine under the scope and researched pictures to find this to be the case. Two Christmas presents I asked for and received are an air purifier and humidifier (into which I am going to put ecovie to be dispersed throught my home) These specs we see, IMO are coming from our bodies, expelled by the immune system as well as free-floating through the air and being inhaled by us, which caused the problem in the first place. For those who have actual bugs coming from their skin, I have no clue why except to think something injested in the form of agrobacteria and bio-engineered micro-organisms have united with our own micro-organisms (fungi, bacteria, etc.) and the body is trying to expell that as well through the immune system. But the immune system is not equipped to deal with the size or composition of these things.

I also am beginning to believe at this point that these micro-organisms are morphing into other forms (bacteria into fungi/fungi into bacteria/fungi into parasites etc) I think they not only take what our dna offers but whatever else foreign in our bodies we injest or inhale as well. This would make sense of why more than one thing is found in lab testing as in my case. In addition to or in place of the common conclusion that the reason people are found to have two different 'bugs' (primary and secondary) as in lyme then morgs, is because the immune system is weakened by the first bug allowing the second to take hold and escape the immune system. Bring the fact into the mix that the immune system's killer t-cells actually can cause harm to us in trying to rid us of foreign bugs, we don't know if we're coming or going.

I believe that this website as well as the other Morgellons site will be the catalyst for a new understanding and respect for all parasitic activity and the body/disease connection. I so look forward to the research and conclusions.

Oh man, Emily...I wish I DID have a good grasp on this so everyone would be happy and healthy.

The unit I have is Bionaire, but I didn't get a chance to really research before knowing I was receiving for Xmas. I think it's a good one though.

If I were you, Em....I would get rid of all my carpet. There is NO WAY this s**t could be eradicated from carpet. Every time you walk on it, it will send spores and fungi into the air and you and your family will breathe it in.

Here's an excerpt from an article I saved regarding the differences between the different bugs (fungi, virus, bacteria, etc.):

Fungus is a saprophytic organism. It can live by itself and does not need a host to survive. A fungus can be sexual or asexual (vegetative). It can reproduce on its own, outside the host's body, but once it is inside the host (ingested, etc.) it turns to sexual reproduction and depends upon its host.Fungi do not respond to antibiotics in the true sense. They respond to a fungicide. Ringworm is a good example. Fungal pneumonia is an internal illness that we are all exposed to. Before the fungus is inhaled, it is an external fungus which reproduces on its own. After it is inhaled and takes hold, it begins to reproduce sexually and relies on its host. Each day we inhale a multitude of harmful fungi. Our body throws most of these fungus off. But, if our immune system has been compromised in some way by stress or other factors, we are much more susceptible.

It's really a horror. You and I and anyone else who has moisture in the house and this mold/fungi MUST call professionals to rid our homes of this or MOVE. All we have to do is inhale a spore and like the paragraph says, it can use us as a host.

glad the DE is working!!!

LC,

You wrote, " What person in their right mind covers red maple flooring anyway?" I agree. I love hardwood floors and put them in throughout my house. Only the bedrooms are left now and it's more important than ever to get it done at this point.

One word of caution, though. I also know several people who live in old homes with awesome wood floors but they can see the basement through some of the cracks. That's gotta be REALLY old and REALLY (cold for sure) bad for entrance of mold/mildew. One friend's son is living in a highrise in Phila. while going to school. His apt. is ground floor and she told me about this situation. "NOT GOOD", said I and proceeded to tell her why. (why am I suddenly getting a craving for green eggs and ham?)

I think it's important to make sure the wood is sealed as well.

Gym seal?
Great for basketball, LC!
Seriously, sounds good, although I have no clue. Key, I would think, would be to be sure in-between floorboards are sealed as well. Block those suckers out! I'm amazed there isn't a subfloor in every building, but I'm not a contractor. I'm sure you have one, though (hope).

Kritters - I've been researching the fungi issue quite a bit lately since you first brought it up. I really think you're on to something. Since, I've been using tea tree oil to clean and soak with and have seen a drastic improvement on the relentless (and still there) lesion I have photographed so much lately. My confusion though is that I lived in a house about nine years ago that literally had so much mold mushrooms grew around the toliet. Eventually the whole floor collapsed in. Why do you think I didn't have these symptoms then? Do you suppose it is due to my immune system? Just something that's been in the back of my mind.

LC - loving the 'spoon' idea. I have one here that I forgot about. I'll give it a shot tonight. Hopefully it'll help eradicate some of the crud. I've been in so much pain the last week with the constant stinging in my lesions. I think they're moving out of my one and moving to other areas of my chin. It's about driven my out of my mind.

Emily - I hope you're doing better today. We're all thinking of you. This disease really blows.

Hi Meg,

I'm as clueless as everyone, but my thinking is that it doesn't happen over night. Also, as you say, it could be your immune system wasn't compromised until now, or at least to the degree where you'd be vulnerable. Could be a combination of factors. Sooner or later, when there is that much mold around and in the air, I think law of averages dictates you'll injest and be diseased as a result. Wow....mushrooms around the toilet???? I'd say this is a major problem.

Another thought I am editing to add is that fungi may be the thing which is compromising our immune systems to begin with, at the very least.

What product exactly are you taking and is it for mold/fungus? From what I understand thus far, fungi is a very difficult thing to eradicate from the body.

Now here is something interesting with regard to the mushrooms which I may start another thread about. When I reviewed all the information for the 'supergreen alkaline diet' a few years ago, (I think I may have mentioned this on the forum before briefly) the premise was that if we have acidic blood, our cells deterioriate down to the fungal state and ultimately a cancerous level. They even showed photos of people with mushrooms growning from their skin. Now, I realize this could be many different things, but I think it makes perfect sense. No matter what, fungi is not good. And once inside the immune compromised body, it becomes parasitic. And it's as ugly as the name makes it sound.

Thanks for your follow-up post, Meg. I hope what you are taking helps.

You can also buy Fels Naptha soap in the supermarket.

LC you wrote:

"every time a red bloodcell dies this crap comes out of it. It is REAL bad in my blood. (LC)"

How do you know when a red blood cell dies? Are you meaning that literally? How do you know it's "real bad" in your blood?

thanks,
Kritters

Hi Em,

You know, after I wrote that, I thought what an inconsiderate biotch I was for the very reason you just wrote.

But here's what I think...... if that's the case, next best thing would be to find out what that stuff Patrice is using is and saturate the carpet and house with it. Kill all the existing fungus. Then keep cleaning the carpet with it and borax and white vinegar like, every week.

Don't worry! Be happy! We will conquer this sh.....stuff. I can't take my bedroom carpet out right now either. I even have it in my walls, I'm sure. We'll work on it together. . Do a spray of ecovie too every so often. Maybe a fine spray of bleach if no one's looking. Just don't inhale it.

Weeeee will weeee will ROCK THEM!!!
Weeeee will weeee will ROCK THEM!!!

Not to worry.
