hi philly. yes lint bllas here and "goo" which gets on our skin. this crud makes a medium for the fibers and specks to adhere to is my belief. so that we may pick up these things by touching objects, and also my belief this is what makes our skin crawl also. why had times was even being stung in the treatment baths at times. i use palmolive oxy plus dish soap to cut this film off of me (it's oxygenated) . kinda grayish green and gross. probably contains bacteria and fungus too. i find when wash with this soap and use a plastic mesh bath puff gets this crud off of me. and the treatment baths work better. a shower with this dish soap, not forgetting eyes and nostrils and scalp then repeat using selsum blue medicated helps me . however, now that i have a groshon catheter and taking iv meds and getting treatment i cannot soak cant get catheter wet. so i get in tub with water only up to waist level , and sponge bathe avoiding the catheter and the clear dressing. to wash hair, i use a pitcher and lean forward to rinse get hair wet and stuff. i still get kind of itchy at times but to a lesser degree with the iv meds. the reason why important to know about this film associated with disease is that i think what makes the crawling feeling so bad. to have relief must be removed, so critters can stick to us so well. anyway my opinion from my own experience. If you plan on "saving" all those toxic and contaminated items, I suggest that you find a very good method of bagging them up in VERY strong heavy-duty plastic, labeling them, and then storing them in a area that you almost never go into. As long as they are located any where near YOU, they will continue to re-infect you, and be a source of continued illness for you.

I have found this out by my own personal experiences, the hard way, by hanging onto possessions that I thought I could somehow find a method of "fixing" or "cleaning" (or even testing) that simply seemed too important or valuable to part with. They will keep you sick. You will get better as you get rid of them, or isolate them from yourself.

....oh my God! i've been scrubbin walls, blinds everything because i thought this yellow sticky goo was nicotine. my mother smokes very heavily and i thought it was years of buildup even tho i've been scrubbin for 2 years now. i don't see a way to do all this by myself. i'm the only one that helps her and i've been so tired lately i want to give up. i don't really comb or brush my hair except in the shower and my mother doesn't shower. she wants to believe me but when it comes to HER or HER THINGS she is completely in denial. what is there to do when i'm sick and can't do what i have to do? i have ALL these symptoms and more plus i think i'm havin the herxes because i've been doin the treatment steps and tryin to do all the cleanin and workin 2 jobs. i bleach her brush and comb and 2 days later its just the same as if i did nothing. ......my first blog "critters" is the way i feel today.

Create REALLY small areas that are as totally clean as you can keep it. (like near in your bedroom & bathroom) and spend the majority of your time when at home, in that space. Then, when you DO have MORE time & energy & health, you can clean all the other areas more carefully again. Don't try to keep EVERYTHING spotless right now, just stay away from the gross things, so they don't bite you and sap your energy more.

IF you can afford a vaporizer with the Eco-vie solution, it is a very nice "short-cut" as opposed to trying to manually hand-scrub every surface down with vinegar or ammonia. Although it does not seem to fully penetrate DEEP underneath objects that piled up on shelves, or in drawers, or behind other things, etc. (darn. I still need to pick up my room?)

Bag up all extra pillows, clothes, sheets, throw rugs, blankets, even curtains, anything made of material or paper into plastic garbage bags, and put it out into storage area for now, to clean later. Totally minimize your environment and what you are tackling on a regular basis. cover mattresses and pillows with heavy garbage bags taped closed with duct tape, if you cannot afford vinyl zip covers. (only $1.99 for each pillow, I just got a bunch, and about $10-$15 for the mattress covers. BOY, do they help-and they are cheaper than a new bed of ANY type!!)

Again, just try to limit your world in order to create a safe and comfortable environment where you won't be constantly bitten and stung, where it it easier to keep it clean & keep it under control, until you feel well enough to begin to face the work of attacking one new cleaning project at a time from the other areas.

Thank you Beverly,
I understand what you are saying, anything I have saved thinking I can fix or remove contaminates from has been a waste of my time. If I would have cut piece from mattress pad that had been bleached for two days and still had black spots that would pop up when sticky tape was rolled on. I might have a better Idea what I am dealing with. Now that I think about it, I don't know that they were still alive, but they were visable. The doctor said you threw it away? I felt very dumb at that moment. I have given up so many things that were important to me. Material things are of little value to me anymore. I only want to keep anything that might help identify what I am dealing with here. I have it packed and away from home and garage. Its hard to get someone to believe what they cannot see. The doctor said he did believe I was dealing with two separate issues. One my skin and two some kind of mite.

There you go, Michelle, You're already thinking ahead of me--good for you! Glad you've figured how to keep them safely. Let me know if you ever find anyone who actually bothers to LOOK at them, or really test them for anything.

I've been burned enough, myself, that I tend to think that even though the doc made you feel dumb for throwing it out--IF you had suddenly pulled a sample out of your purse, he probably would have looked down his nose at THAT, and sneared, and without touching it, said, "sorry that's TOO degraded, to be useful." or something like that... I think it's like premise of the book that Franky brought up--'They already have their minds made up: please don't bother them with any annoying facts or exams.'
But, there must be SOME good docs out there--we all know this. We can hope.
