I am very new to this. One of my best friends thinks they have this. I didn't really believe in it. Now for the last 2 months I have been breaking out on my scalp and back. (I have a history of acne on my back from before I knew this person) I have thought it was an allergic reaction to something, but it seems to be getting worse not better. I am very scared. My therapist did not want me to think I had this sort of made me promise not to think about it. However, my scalp and back itch and burn. It's hard not think about it. I went to the doctors she said "it's just acne" and gave me a referal to a dermatologist. I don't seem to have any of the fibers, I didn't think. But because of some stuff I read on this site I drank some apple cider vinegar and it looked like there were tiny white fibers coming out of the pores on my cheeks and under my nose. This scared me enough to make me register on the site. Has anyone used Tea Tree oil successfully to treat symptoms? How about drinking Kombucha? I am going to pursue the treatment protocols the best I can. I am really scared. -Sprite I cannot figure out how to post a new entry. I took a bath last night in salt and peroxide. I don't think I have fibers like most people describe. The only thing I noticed was some very tiny white specs in the wter like thread and an occasinoal cloudy mass. I dunked my head in and I got some brown stuff out of my ears. I did Selsun Blue on my head. And put lactic acid cream on my open sores on my back and head. The sores are a little better. Can someone tell me how to post a new topic? thanks - sprite

Hi Sprite, Sorry to hear you think you have this problem. Your situation sounds very similar to mine and i would get advice from one of the fellow Americans on this site of a doctor or specialists that treats Morgellons/Lymes. They can give you tests as well as treat you with the correct medication, and if caught early you can save yourself a lot of pain. Half my problem was not knowing what i had, i too felt the extreme allergic reactions which made my body feel like it was reacting to something, felt like a cold shiver to me with my skin firing up and burning. Do you get any crawling and stinging? I was fortunate enough to get treated before the open sores happened and thats why i think you'd be best to get help from a doctor treating this. I went through the path of using a dermatologist who knew nothing about Morgellons and personally was a waste of money and time. Definitely use the treatment protocols i found at first it made my symptoms worse internally as it drove it back inside my body but if you do see a doctor treating this the medication would sort it out. I used Apple cider vinegar and Tea Tree oil almost religiously and found them both help greatly - not a cure from my experience but definitely does kill some of the problem. LadyColarada might be able to advise a doctor if you tell here where in the States you live. Jason

I concur with both tea tree and apple cider vinigar. The NMO recommends tea tree. Though it stinks, it is a not only a good antiseptic, but also known to have pretty good antiviral action. I do drink sometimes the apple cider. One reason they say it's good is it helps the cell mitochondria with medium chain fatty acids. Another one that's good is coconut oil. Externally, it is good for antifungal, anti-yeast , and removal of excess skin scale (caprilliyic acid, like sacyillic acid: the ingridient in many dermatological medications, but a lot cheaper). Internally , it helps dramatically with digestion of medium chain fatty acids: again great for mitchondrial myopathy. Sorry about my spelling. I'm at a foreign computer on the rare day I get out and checking in. Evan

| ............add 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar and 1 cup of all natural honey(i get mine from a beekeeper) to a gallon of distilled water. i use this to treat my kidney infections. my uncle, who is a firm believer in home remedy stuff, suggested i try it and i hafta say, i believe it kept me out of the hospital last year after i had left the hospital AMO and had to return. tryin not to go back to the hospital i drank and entire gallon that day but had to go back to the ER. i was there most of the night but they were amazed that the tests came back positive enough to just give me a prescription and let me go home. (it was so embarrassing to have to go back to the ER...they all teased me, wonderin if i was gonna stay this time )brenda

Hi Sprite, You need to start the treatment steps as soon as possible. Because you have not had this for very long theres a good chance you 'll be cured if you do. carla x
