It sounds like the investigation will focus on doing a broad study of the disease -- to determine its prevalence, etc. This will most likely not get us the answers we need -- a cure!

All government research typically starts with this type of epidemological investigation -- so we cannot complain about this. It is the first step of a long process.

I hate to be a broken record, but if we want a cure as quickly as possible, we need to augment the CDC research with private research. We need to fund private research to get out of this nightmare.

Someone shared a letter from Kaiser with me. It says that this is just the first study -- that more studies would be needed in the future IF they find anything.

They are still trying to decide if this is real. By the time they figure out it is real (if they do), then they will start to study what is causing this.

We have new researchers approaching the MRF who want to help, but we do need to fund them. If everyone gives a little bit, if we ask our friends and family to give a little, we can get more research done.

well oe encouraging thing i dug up is the source for this page a new division of the cdc with four sections, was created in april of 2007 :zved zoonotic, vectorbourne, and enteric disease. includes things like post lymes disease and cfs, prion disease. was readig one section diseases listed from headlice, (DUH) that is lymes like, and disease from mice too (besdies plague) so, this is encouraging. this division listed as your source at the bottom of the page. click here for a looksie, (LC).
