For those that have the energy, I would if I could, I need to find out, if these things will live in a parrot forever. If you have done all the treatments for them, Ivemectin, sprays for mites, which they don't have, they have a feather lice. I learned most birds wild and in home parrots have feather lice. They pretty much stay on the birds. Now I have babies and there getting to the age of being ready to be sold. I cannot sell them til I know if this will continue in them like it does in humans. They will be put in a bath before selling them and again they will get ivermectin, they are on a diet like us but a bit better. Please let me know if you do any search's and what your opinion is about selling them or should I put them all to sleep. That will be so hard. Thanks, Yes they did have the Morgellons, it was in the air, they were not born with it, they got it like the same time we got it. Right now I am at the part were the fibers are hatching no fun, now I know what the crawling feeling feels like, I am doing bubba's steps all the way. Thanks, I know this is alot to ask, but for my older birds they are the ones that were there for me when I was so sick with Migraines and going to the ER three times a week, hubby was out to sea most of the last ten years. It was the parrots that kept me company. And gave me a reason to live. Don't want to loose them also. Again thank you

Unclear..... I'm so sorry to hear your news... It's sO sad and I know just how you feel. We have chickens and pidgeons and bantams.. Had a terrible time last year, but (touch wood) they are all clear now. We used ivermectin on the back of each ones neck for two periods of three weeks, and powderd them with DE. We also put DE in their food. so far so good. I really hope you get an answere, I know how it is to know and love your birds. Thinking of you.. Hillyx

Thanks for the info on the ivermectin every three weeks. Now the part of this chlamydia pneumonia, well the big problem is in birds it is very hard to test for and get a correct answer, as the test don't alway show it, it can lay dorment in birds. Most of my birds and babies have all been tested the best way we could. Every one was negative. So it is a hard call on that one. I am going to do the Ivermectin every three weeks and all bird had a 2 weeks of antibocitics when we first notice this on us. So I pray we caught it early enough. I just looked at the potty of two of the babies, not under the microscope and did not see any Morgellons. YEAH. Need to get the microscope out and take a good look I just hate my eyes near that thing. Thanks Unclear.
