Default Another attempt to bring attention to the Bryozoan

I'm going to try again to get our only hope pointed in the right direction. Here is my e-mail to Dr Randy Wymore.

Quote:
Dr Wymore,
We have exchanged correspondence in the past and I would like to once again appeal to your intelligence and curiosity by asking you to seriously consider my hypothesis which cites the bryozoan as the organism responsible for the morgellons disease. I have remained committed to this hypothesis and continue to collect evidence in support of it. Granted, standing alone much of the evidence could point to a number or different organisms but when all the bits and pieces are combined it overwhelmingly points to the bryozoan.

I am currently researching another aspect of the Bryozoan Hypothesis which I have come to believe may also be part of this puzzle. There is evidence to suggest that there may be another organism involved in addition to the bryozoan, that organism is the myxozoan. The myxozoans are parasites of the bryozoans and quite possibly began their existence through the bryozoans, according to the International Bryozoology Association. Recent discoveries of formally unknown and uniquely different myxozoans has led to the creation of a new Class in which to place them.

The myxozoan is responsible for a fish disease known as Myxobolus cerebralis that affects certain species of trout and salmon. I believe it is quite possible that morgellons may have a link to this disease. The disease is also known as whirling fish disease because it affects the brain and nervous system of the fish causing them to become impaired and swim in circles, it also causes lesions on the infected fish. Myxobolus cerebralis has become a huge problem in many parts of the world, including the USA. It is very complex and much is still currently being learned about this disease and the myxozoans.

My research in this area has led me to reanalyze the possible source of my own infection. Two species of trout that are commonly infected with Myxobolus cerebralis are the rainbow and the cutthroat. At about the time I believe I contracted morgellons I was a very avid fisherman and at a certain lake in California, within the Sierra Nevada mountain range, I recall catching, handling, and eating both rainbow and cutthroat trout. I also recall that some of the cutthroat trout had white blotchy areas on their skin. At the time I didn't think much of it but now I believe that these fish just may have been infected with Myxobolus cerebralis. Another trait I specifically recall is the fact that they were so lethargic. The myxozoan can survive through extreme heat and cold and remain dormant for over thirty years, cooking the fish may not necessarily kill the myxozoans spores. The myxozoan requires two hosts to propagate and it is my belief that we may be providing one of those while the bryozoan is providing the other.

I have invested a tremendous amount of time in my research Dr Wymore and I am completely convinced that the Bryozoan Hypothesis will prove valid when this mystery is finally uncovered. Please seriously consider what I am claiming, regardless of how impractical it may appear.

Sincerely

Steve Allen Frey

Hey Safrey Which lake?
I told you once about my son and I being in meadow lake, we decided to wade across the water about chest deep and were suddenly itching ,biting and stinging all over where we were wet. We stripped are clothes off and doused ourselves in mustard to relieve the itching. We had to throw the clothing away we were wearing because even after washing it made us itch. This was in august of o3 or 04 ???
Thank you for your dedication and research,
Michelle

Hi Michelle

The lake that I referred to is Bowman lake, the cutthroat trout migrate up an inlet that comes from milton lake. I would imagine that if this fish disease is present in Bowman lake then it would most likely be in many other lakes up there since they are all stocked by Fish and Game and hatchery fish would most likely be the source.

I can attest to a fish connection which was noted the very day I ate fish. Saltwater, not fresh water grouper. I became deathly ill and developed morgellons. Though I am not sure, I believe more than one parasite was involved. Because fish usually have more than one parasite.

Yes I know Michelle, it's the start of a good 4WD trail, I'm pretty sure I ate fish from meadow lake as well. The thing that stands out the most in my memory was the appearance of the cutthroat trout I had caught out of bowman lake. I had some very memorable fishing trips at bowman and when telling fish stories over the years regarding some of those trips I always brought up the fact that the cutthroat trout seemed more like salmon since they appeared to be dying during their spawning migration upstream, for those who aren't aware salmon die after they spawn and them having white blotchy patches on their skin is common late in their run. These cutthroat definantly appeared to be dying but inside they looked fine so I ate them, hindsight is 20-20 right.

We have thought about going back up there and getting a sample of the water. It was so many years back though, we were at the end inlet. I thought it was probably from plants, because it felt like thistles or cactus stinging you. My son said he just wanted to rip his skin off.

TCM,
I am curious to which area you were when you ate the bad fish, and what year was that?
Safrey and I are both here in Northen Ca. I have traveled over most of Northern Ca,. It sounds if you had an immediate reaction, there was no doubt what caused it. So how long after this happened did you get morgellons ?
I am wondering if they came together or one contributed to the other. I am glad you are doing better
