| At first, I thought no way! But, one day I was at the dance studio, had to loo loo after class. I know I checked to toilet before sitting down, to make sure no one had missed and gotten the seat wet. I noticed some fibers on my toilet paper after use, and when I got up, couldn't believe what I saw, thought, no way! It was black, 3 1/2 to 4 inches long, tapered, about 1 1/2 inches at its thickest, resembled a feather. It had a center vane with fiber-like protruberances emanating laterally off the central vane, which seemed to be in a very neat and organized manner, the vane was fully filled in with these similar to a feather. There were also some of the more familiar fibers twisted (like they can be) around the lateral protuberances. ??? ??? ??? I stared in disbelief that this could have come out of me Tried to convince myself that it was part of some costume that ended up in the toilet, after all I was at the dance studio.....But it had to have been hiding pretty good for me not to have seen it, the familar twisted fibers on the protruberances, and it appeared to have small constrictions at regular intervals along the center vane, very similar to a black fiber I saw under the microscope at the first clinic I went to. Then someone else came in the bathroom, and I quickly flushed the toilet terrified at being found with my very strange morg in the dance studio bathroom (even though the stall door was closed). So then I tried to forget about it, and told myself better out then in, and if Cliff's possible "queen" speculation is correct, then maybe, the queen just left. I asked my morg specialist at my last phone appt, said she had heard of feather type things, but had not seen them, her nurse said the same. I also looked at pix from rense.com of Dr. Staninger's work - and there are feathers there, just not as big. I have found other smaller black "feathers" around my apt, and think they are a morg. I have also found some of the thicker black hair-like fibers, that have started to thicken even more and look like the "central vane", and ones that are central vane that have laterals branching off. I even foud a deep red colored one that was like a thickened central vane. One other thing I noticed, was a day or two before the "biggie" passed I started feel that vibrational thing going on in my lower abdomin, and thought why is this happening I have not had this symptom since before I went on antibiotics! It stopped after the biggie came out. ![]() Sorry for the long post. But has anybody else seen these things? thanks, hummingbird

| Hi Hummingbird Oh boy...hard to believe isn't it? I'm not surprised at anything these days when it comes to this illness. It is beyond bizarre. I seen a small feather..except mine was white. I don't know if it came out of me or what, I'm assuming it did. I just shook my head in utter dis belief. How is that possible? Maybe someone can explain for us. Even some of the track marks (thankfully not as bad these days) on my arms have a feathered look to them. Strange, strange, Strange. I noticed after I eat certain foods such as a papaya, I'll have what looks like a small portion on my fingertip..or if I eat a slice of whole grain bread..I 'll have a seed appear under my fingernail. Again, how is that possible? Not sure I want to know really. Anyway, don't worry hummingbird you're not alone. I pray to God that Bubba's latest post about those doc's working on Morgellons will lead us all to a cure. All the best, Sally ![]() |

| Hummingbird and Sally I have experienced these too! I have not seen any in awhile, but the white tufts that come out of my thighs remind me of the feather quills. I have also seen them sprout on pillow cases that were clean and wet, before putting in the dryer. They grow fast! My chemistry friend was over and viewing my specimens under the microscope. He said "this is a feather" I told him I know I find them in the house and I have thrown every feather product away months ago. That is where I noticed my first environment problem in the feather pillows. I threw away hundreds of dollars of feather bedding in February. |

| Hi Michelle It's good to know we're not alone... Too bad you had to throw your good bedding out. Doesn't it make you mad? I know it's a material item and our health is more important but still...ticks me off. I'm after throwing away so many items. Oh well..what choice do we have? BTW Michelle...in case you didn't get my PM (not sure if my original message went thru) I want to thank you for your helpful hints and kind thoughts regarding my post to your Validation thread. | Hummingbird, (great little birds) do you also see small feathers as others have? this is just all so bizarre, to say the least. the other day, I forget how I came upon it, but a really tiny 'feather' came to my attention. I picked it up (1/16 " if that) and held it by the stem. It bobbed and weaved around and I attributed it to air movement around it, but the way it moved almost seemed like it was a 'live' feather. This brings me back to the 'goose' down pillows made in China. I don't know why, but I really think they have something to do with all this. Kritters |

| Hello all The ones viewed under scope looked like a hair and came out of my leg, you would not know that it was feather like until you viewed. Sally, I hope things are getting better for you and your family! I got frustrated for awhile because It seemed to take forever. But persevere every little bit you do makes a difference and eventually one day you will notice things are so much better and continuing to improve each day. Thank you for your kind words. Michelle |

| Thanks, Sally, Michelle and Kritters, Most of mine are very fine and like small fluffy down feathers, generally black ones. Even though I wish none of us had these, it is comforting to no that you guys have seen the featers too. ![]() I wonder if the comment in Randy Wymore's statement about morg suffers shedding other unusual material includes these feathers. I guess we'll just stay tuned. hummingbird
