Lisa's thread on depression got me thinking ... ![]() How do all of you deal with/rise above Morgellons-related depression? I bet we could learn a lot of new coping tricks from each other! ![]() Here's my top 3: 1. Reaching out to someone else on the site and helping them. (It really gets my mind off myself.) 2. Turner Classic Movie Channel! (I absolutely LOVE old movies -- esp from the 1940s. I can't even guess how many old movies I've watched in the past year. TCM always cheers me up! 3. Sleep/nap -- when I'm really in the thick of it, I take a nap and always wake up feeling better. How about you guys?

Good Topic Mary! I think about how many others are so much worse off than I am, and feel ashamed for being a sniveler. I think of our soldiers who have been in traumatic situations and how they have to seem like our trivial problems are important. How about are fire and police men and what they have to see and deal with on a daily basis. How do they go home from work and be loving and supportive for their families.

Hi.........all I think we are depressed for many reasons and this is just another reason, whether it be physiological or emotional. Having each other to talk to is the key to not letting it get us down. The deeper the well from which you reach, the higher you can climb with the help of hands who have been there. Keep the faith, babies! Kathy

Just thought of 2 more... • a really good cry (sorry guys, it's a girl thing) -- we ALWAYS feel better afterwards • a really good laugh -- especially funny posts here, when someone finds a bit of humor in the absurdity of our experience! ![]()

| Yes, good topic Mary. This site helps me a lot, I also find meditation helpful. Also bike riding, hiking and especially dancing - these can also be meditative. Since I live a long ways from my family, talking with them aways helps too. ![]()
