Lisa with such little information available about this disease, I can't tell you a definite answer..In my opinion, and i am not a scientist, it's just my opinion that they do like moist environments. I know that when Mom sweats the activity increases dramatically. Alum (hope I spell that right) based deodorants help alot. We get ours at the health food store. You wet it and roll it on..Until the medical/scientific communities have more definite answers you just take things one day at a time..and..you don't let fear control your life..you remain positive..sounds like you have a great child..do not let this illness rule your life..you must remain grounded and not forget normal day to day activities such as family. sending you a smile..suzzie

Early into this, I found a post by a woman who said she cleared her body and home of "Morgellons" by spraying her house, pets, tubs, etc., with Nature's Miracle enzyme cleanser (get it at pet stores) in conjunction with using house bs (like... Raid not dynamite ) and taking taking digestive enzymes and CoQ10. I remember she said that she focused on the bathrooms in her house. I followed her advice and have been using the N.M. for months now with really good results. I buy the gallon and then make individual spray bottles for the bathrooms that we us. I also have used in directly on my skin without irritation. I also found early on that oral enzymes are beneficial...prayers...Linda

On a whim, I decided to wipe down my bathroom walls, and was shocked to find tons of red and blue fibers -- exactly what I get from my skin. Then I wiped down the walls in my daughter's bathroom and found the same thing and found them floor of the showers too. I also found fibers on the walls around our beds.

Our hair is very much affected by the disease. I think that the fibers are disturbed when we are washing and combing our hair and stick to the walls.
