Default Almost free of all symptoms now

A month ago I had my first visit with a Doctor in Northern Cal who specializes in Lyme disease and is willing to see patients with Morgellons. I believe I'm his third patient with Morgellons, I do not have Lyme. For those of you who don't know of me I will give you a brief rundown. I've suffered with symptoms of Morgellons for over thirteen years with about six outbreaks of lesions during that time, the lesions lasted from weeks to months and they were loaded with colorful fibers, I posted several pics on this site confirming that. The rest of the time my symptoms were confined mostly to my feet and hands, going from mild to severe over the course of 10 to 12 years. Thickening of the skin and developement of very thick calluses, or what I thought were calluses. By last November the condition on my hands got so bad that I began to experience numbness in my little and ring fingers and the side of my hand. Bottom line, there is absolutely no doubt that I have Morgellons.
This excellent doctor prescribed medication for me that he claimed was effective on other Morg patients he was seeing. This medication is used to treat infections caused by worms, roundworms, tapeworms, etc, and a more commonly used medication used to treat yeast and fungus. The names and dosage of these meds are as follows:

Albenza- 200mg: 2 pills twice a day, 3 days on 3 days off
Stromectol-3mg: 4 pills every four days
Fluconazole-150mg: 1 tab twice a day every 3 days

Now for the good news. I believe that I am well on my way to being completely free of all symtoms. My hands feel better than they have for years, I honestly cannot remember the last time I felt this good. The thickened callus-like skin is almost completely gone on my hands and is rapidly thinning on my feet. The numbness in my fingers and hand is lessening each day. Two days ago I examined my hands with my pocket microscope and I could find fibers only on one thumb, today I could find only a couple and I had to look pretty hard to find them.
I've also noticed major changes in my bowel movements, to be honest I never really believed all the claims of the Morgellons infection present within the intestinal tract, but I am certainly convinced of that now. Previously I had dealt with chronic constipation which I just figured was due to a poor diet, now my stools are frequent and healthy, what a difference. In addition to regular bowel movements I no longer have that bloated feeling, which is something that I used to experience very frequently.
I never use to think that I suffered from chronic fatigue syndrome, instead I just figured I was tired from work and stress but I have to admit, I seem to have considerably more energy now.
So there you have it, I have done nothing else that could have contributed to my improvement, no topical medication, no change in diet, nothing.
If anyone would like to know the name of my doctor you are welcome to e-mail me and I will be happy to provide you with info. I will be seeing him again in a couple of weeks and at that time I will try to encourage him to let the MRF know of his apparent successful treatment

This is wonderful safrey.
I am so happy that things have worked out for you. I know how hard you tried to come up with research to help all.
I would like for you to e-mail me and let me know who you went to see in northern ca. I had a doctor monday that would not do a lymes test or even listen to me.
I never even talked about anything unusual to her. So all helpful information is very much appreciated.

Safrey,
That is such wonderful news. You know I feel really good too! The protocol I have been following and the emphasis I am putting on this is anti-fungal. I think that is where all roads lead with this affliction. prayers...Linda
