My Morgellans has been called Nodular Prurigo

Hi everybody,

I have suffered for seven years with all the usually described symptoms and it has been a complete nightmare - my husband also disbelieves it!

The onset was following six wasp stings and a very stressful period of my life and I was covered in some areas of my body with lesions from which came the 'eggs', black bits, grit, etc. Horrendous and terrifying!!!!!

In the past year I have been taking MSM and Ester-C in a maintenance dose because I don't like taking stuff. I eventually started to notice an improvement and upped my dose to 4000 mg MSM and 1000 mg Ester-C per day and my improvement has accelerated accordingly. I am about 90% cured and am very optimistic that I can clear it completely. I believe in my own case that I cannot metabolise sulphur and that that is the reason for my immune problems (I have suffered allergy problems for most of my life).

I have also listened to my body and slept as much as possible and have adopted a fitness and exercise regime as and when I have felt well enough to do it without it being counter-productive. I am currently walking 3 or 4 miles per day and am starting to feel incredibly well compared with many years past. For a long time, I would go for a walk and then have to sleep for two hours to recover enough to function but now I just need a cuppa and a
sit down.

In terms of dealing with clearing the skin the only successful way I have found externally is to put vaseline on the area and Arnica gel on top and leave it for a while. Together they seem to help to draw out the 'thingies'
over days, weeks and months and I have found no quick way. The arnica gel shouldn't be put on open sores but in conjunction with vaseline it works.

I hope this helps another human being to deal with this miserable and intensely lonely illness. Good luck.

im glad you found a doc that actually figured out what happened to you, but like myself, i never got bit by a wasp.. so the mystery continues for most of us.
just curious, what kind of insurance do you have? im working on another theory here, people with better insurance get better answers?

Nope. Premium insurance here, double in fact. I have secondary, too. And I have paid more for healthcare items in the last year than I have my whole life, and none of it's tax deductible.
