Thanks for posting the fluoride information, Kat.
Not too long ago, my docs had me on different rounds of antibiotics for other issues. The last one did me in. He gave me a quniolone, which has a large fluoride content and it poisoned me because my body was already deficient in some minerals, like the magnesium and calcium. The fluoride (I believe) was dumped into my joints, tissues, muscles, and tendons, and let me tell you, it was a painful number of months. I could barely walk, I could barely type. My joints cracked and my tendons were tight and many were swollen. I had lots of muscle spasms. I was scared that I would rupture something. It was absolutely horrible.
The effect was cyclic and lasted around 3 months. I never knew what the day would be like. I still am afraid that I will rupture something, but thank goodness the pain is gone from this.
I tried my best to stay away from fluoride since then, which meant switching out my toothpaste, making sure to take a calcium/magnesium supplement, and only drinking certain types of bottled water with an extremely low fluoride content (reverse osmosis). Fluoride is everywhere. It's in the teflon that we cook with and it can be in the water that all our food is processed with. I've been told to stay away from juice drinks with added water because that can also be fluoridated. Also, what helps us is Green Tea, and this has a very high fluoride content because the leaves absorb it from the soil I've read. So, for people who are sensitive to fluoride, green tea may not be a good choice. It is in a lot of medicines, like anti-depressants, because it can cross the blood-brain barrier. We can't get away from it entirely because it is everywhere, but we can reduce our exposure.
Fluoride MAY be responsible for early osteoporosis since it is absorbed in bones (calcium), and possibly some arthritis since it settles in joints and causes problems there, and it competes with the receptors for iodine - which your thyroid needs! It is believed by some that fluoride along with bromides are responsible for thyroid malfunctioning!
Off my soap box for now, but thanks for posting this. |
