I realize this thread is "old" but I would like to revive it for the time being. I have done many things to detox and have experienced particles in the urine prior to my using NAC with other things I have done. Katinka, you mentioned you saw the toxins in your urine. I am curious as to what you saw.

I combined Cats Claw 6,000mg, NAC 1200 mg, and Vitamin C4,000 per day for a few weeks. I have now gone down to 600mg NAC per day with the rest staying the same. With the 1200 mg NAC in the combo, I also saw stuff in my urine. It has stopped sinced I lowered the dose of NAC. I plan on upping it again, to see if I get the same result. Warning.....I did experience a magnesium and potassium deficiency and experienced heart rhythm abnormalities rectified since.

For what I saw in my urine, I can't believe there wasn't any pain. Some of the stuff coming out was quite large. Really, some looked to be fungal hyphae and of course the black specks. Does this sound similar to what you experienced? I am curious, how many mgs were you taking of NAC to get this affect? Similar to my own?

Yes, I certainly did have something like that. Chelating it does. I had the black specks, and then I also had these branch type things colored brown, and then the mucous as well. I have yet to slap anything on a slide from the toilet. But I probably will. Eck. You know, some of this stuff was so big, that I was incredulous that there was no pain. I experienced this taking only 1000 mg of NAC and Selinium and 4000mg of Vit. C.

NAC has become part of my standard protocol as well. Quite pleased with it, but I have a concern on its purported ill effects and CHF. What do you think about it?

I went through a couple of weeks with this stuff coming out in my urine. I have had nothing since. It is clear like it should be.

Since I haven't photogged anything from the toilet yet, with that in mind and only visual, I can't really say whether what I saw is similar to yours, but I sure will find out here soon enough. Need to get more slides.

You asked whether I thought the NAC was helpful in chelating. It does escort something out that is for sure and better out than in.

CHF is Congestive heart failure. I wasn't sure if it was dis-information from the sources I read. I went through a little bout of heart palpitations a couple of weeks ago but I think that may have been a herx from endotoxins now. I thought perhaps it was due to the NAC at first, but I am still taking that and not having any problems currently. I started using a toxin binding herb shortly therafter the heart palpitations began and they did go away.

As far as the laughing at what comes out of our bodies and looking forward to seeing it. I am still hopeful that oneday we wont care as much.
