Below is a note I recently sent off to the doctor that has assisted in my detox. Following the detox suggestions of Dr. Omar Amin as well as Dr. Bruce Shelton, I have been able to recover. I am certain what I have/had relates to mercury in my system. I also saw patterns connecting mercury exposure to the symptoms in the earliest documentations (Kellett's 1935 article) which prompted me to research it further (this was published in Dec. 08 issue of Explore!). I hope it is helpful. 3-26-09 Dear Dr. Shelton, I was glad to make the trek down to your office for assistance. I am eager to begin the celation approach designed by Dr. Klinghardt. As mentioned in my visit, I have a number of thoughts on Morgellons. Key to all of my thoughts, reflections, observations and speculations, are the cause and cure of Morgellons. The cause is methylmercury (I’m certain!) and the cure is celation (although I wonder if there is another more direct way of extracting the majority of toxins from a Morgellons patient’s nerve system). I hope you will print this out and read it though. I have shared much of my ideas to the major research organizations looking at Morgellons. The Morgellons Research Foundation has not responded to any of my emails over the past 2 years. Oklahoma State University-CHS Center for Investigation of Morgellons Disease has corresponded with me (although clearly stated she cannot give her opinion on anything I share). I have also sent copies of the articles I wrote for Explore!. I guess I would describe my interaction with these researchers as frustrating. (On a return to edit, I want to make it clear I am glad there are medical professionals out there researching this condition. I fear this paragraph is in part due to misguided anger). Below I list my thoughts (it’s the most concise approach). 1) Patients’ Medical History- Over the past 15 years I have had numerous symptoms that are typical of mercury poisoning. My symptoms include but are not limited to: severe bloating, racing heart (5 emergency room visits), irritable bowel syndrome, panic attacks, and depression. In all of my many medical visits I was never told that my symptoms could relate to mercury. Barry M. Diner’s list of symptoms related to mercury poisoning (emedicine.com) look like much of my medical history. 2) Not Parasitic- Considering Dr. Amin’s reputation as a parasitologist and that he has examined hundreds of Morgellons sufferers, I trust his conclusion that this is not a parasite. Because of medical studies suggesting a connection to Lyme Disease bacteria, I was tested and the results were negative. 3) Source of Mercury (and methyl carrier)- Historic sources include hats, shawls, textile dyes, medicinal mercury, and direct exposure (mining and coal). The primary source today is as dental materials (although there are others). The studies by Dr. Amin connecting dental adhesives to Morgellons reflect on patterns connected to the carriers into the nerve system (he mentioned to me that chemically Dycal, Life and other adhesives are similar to nerve gases). Meth in use as a recreational drug is also a carrier of mercury into the nerve system (the delutional parasitosis of meth addicts is the same symptom occurring in Morgellons). 4) Bug Crawling Sensation- Because of the density of mercury, it pools in Morgellons patient’s nervous system (this is based on personal experience). My crawling started from a single spot on my scalp (this being the lowest spot on my scalp when I sleep…back right side). It felt like bugs were crawling out of a single location and the sensations expanded into the evening. Crawling sensations typically started towards the evening as air temperatures changed. I believe that the methylmercury pool acts much like the pool of mercury in a thermometer, expanding and contrasting with changes in temperature. The change in temperature forces mercury through individual nerve cells. I think the sensation of the push/pull causes a crawling bug feeling (I would describe the crawling as feeling mechanical or robotic). “In the thick of things” I would not have believed that the “bugs” were anything but bugs. I know from communication with patients of Dr. Amin that it is difficult for the sufferer to think the crawling could be caused by mercury (one even told me she could see the bugs crawling beneath her skin). 5) Morgellons, Meth and Mercury Poisoning- The early accounts of medicinal mercury’s effects appear as identical to modern meth addicts (halitosis, drooling, rotting teeth, dermal symptoms, insanity, etc.). Accounts from long time Morgellons sufferers appear to result in the same set of awful symptoms. 6) Fibers- I didn’t have the fibers associated with Morgellons. I think the appearance of fibers correlates with high levels of methylmercury in the nerve system. I suspect Morgellons might be viewed as in levels (I was fortunate enough to begin detox at an earlier stage). I think fibers could be the end result of a nervous system trying to repair itself from the dynamics of expansion/contraction (something like a scab made of protein…the spot breaks and repairs repeatedly until a fiber is formed). 7) Prenatal Concerns- If you review my historic research on Languedoc (Dec. 08 Explore!), the potential implications are terrifying. While I don’t know of any modern cases similar to Languedoc, I suspect it is only a matter of time. Growing Morgellons Population- The number of sufferers is likely to increase before it decreases. Many sufferers cannot function. Many have lost jobs, money, family and friends. Given the bleakness of the situation and the effect of neurotoxins, some choose to commit suicide. This population needs help of the most affordable means (as I mentioned on my visit, many cannot afford the medical cost). 9) Morgellons Cure- Celation is the best means of cleaning neurotoxins out of the body. I wonder if a needle or such punctured into the nerve system (maybe at the methylmercury pooling I mentioned) could extract some of the toxins. I hope my thoughts on Morgellons Disease is helpful or, at least, interesting. Please feel free to share this with other experts in the field (maybe even Dr. Klinghardt if possible at the coming conference). I certainly appreciate all of your time and assistance in detoxing. Please contact me if you have any questions. Take care, Joe Keleher Last edited by Joe Keleher; April 6th, 2009 at 06:11 PM. Reason: glitch, after thoughts

| Joe, I've posted "Detox" another time also the possible association with copper accumulation and overload of heavy metals in our bodies. ....I think fibers could be the end result of a nervous system trying to repair itself from the dynamics of expansion/contraction (something like a scab made of protein…the spot breaks and repairs repeatedly until a fiber is formed)... For my opinion the fibers are not the main source of investigations should be made. I believe these fibers are a byproduct or "trash" of this systemic disease and the body trying to release it over pores and hairfollicles. Over pores which an increase or overdevelopment causes a wound/infection. I totally agree with you...DETOX in the first case is essential and AFTER that antibiotic/antifungal treatments. Indirect selection for antibiotic-resistant bacteria by heavy metal exposure ......Indeed, our preliminary studies indicate that the frequency of antibiotic resistance is significantly elevated in heavy metal-contaminated environments, including stream sediments, benthic fish, and organic foam. Because the number and total area of the earth's habitats contaminated with heavy metals far exceeds that contaminated with antibiotics, metal-contaminated sites may provide a critical, globally-dispersed environment for the creation, maintenance, and transfer of antibiotic resistance among bacteria... | Joe - All of the Morgellons researchers are familiar with Dr. Amin; he was actually the first to identify and describe the condition ("Neuro Cutaneous Syndrome") in the mid 90's. Whatever this turns out to be, the explanation must be inclusive and not ignore certain symptoms because they don't "fit". Take some time looking through the pictures on this board. These things are not imaginary. SS |

Joe, in which I do not agree is: Not Parasitic- Considering Dr. Amin’s reputation as a parasitologist and that he has examined hundreds of Morgellons sufferers, I trust his conclusion that this is not a parasite. Because of medical studies suggesting a connection to Lyme Disease bacteria, I was tested and the results were negative. There IS a parasite involved with Morgellons Disease. Either as causitive agent over insect vectors or co-infection due to immune deficiency. I've made a video of a mucous looking clump I've found in my urine. You can see exactly a worm moving in that substance with an attached thread. Lyme Disease is also related to parasite infections..since it's been treated with anti malaria medicines in combination with antibiotics. Malaria also causes "bloating". This is often seen in Morgellons patients too. Malaria - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Datei:Plasmodium falciparum nephrosis edema PHIL 3894 lores.jpg – Wikipedia A negative Lyme Disease test is often most common if not tested properly. The newest test is Elisa Spot LTT. Kat

There is no doubt that detoxing from the countless toxins our bodies have been subjected to will go a LONG way toward healing from ANYTHING, including Morgellons. The body heals itself, and it can't operate properly because of these toxins. But that does not explain just WHAT the "initial thing" is that causes Morgellons. Assuming that it is nanotechnology, then ridding the body of it (to the extent that this is possible) along with all the other junk can only help. I really wish people would read Dr. Staninger's work - even though it is very complicated and scientific - before rejecting it. The reason I think she is the closest to the answer is because she explains everything associated with this....things that look like parasites, etc. btw - her treatment protocol is based on detoxing, breaking down the things that Morgellons makes in the body, and building up the body's health so that it can recover. She has a 30 year career in dealing with environmental toxins. SS

SS, I agree with what you said, and I think that the first step, or at least the simultaneous step should be to detox, chelate, get rid of the metals in our system. If DE is as good as I'm to believe it is, I'm going to do that at the same time. I think the metals are what attract and keep the kritters, whatever they are, around and looking for love in all the wrong places. I had purchased some chlorella from Dr. Mercola's site and am going to start with that until I see all the other forms of chelation available. I'm sure the IV is going to happen again as well as the intravenous H202. Just a note: We have had some threads in the past as well as recently by Kat regarding mercury fillings in the teeth. I had two root canals when all this was brewing it seems. I don't know how the dating fits in chronologically, but one thing is for sure, my dentist didn't believe mercury could be a problem (yes, ice age dentist) and therefore would be clueless about what I had subsequently found out: that any mercury filling removal should be done by a dentist specializing in mercury free dentistry. I'm absolutely sure that he just drilled away, sending all kinds of mercury into my bloodstream. I'm also going to cut out tuna completely. Why the hell is mercury still in our oceans anyway? (I answer my own questions, unhappily) Oh, and here's a kicker: previous to that dentist I had one who was so expensive I had to switch. I had an infection he never caught through the x-rays for YEARS. It finally grew so largely absessed I went to him for that. It was quite disgusting when he found the problem. Yes, as Katinka says, I think we are getting somewhere. Kritts

Kritts, a GOOD dentist should advise his/her patients to detox the body after dentistry either after renewed fillings or root treatments. Most don't. Removed Amalgam fillings pass into the bloodstream by swallowing a few particles and haze from the driller. You can detox your body with Chorella in high doses together with Garlic which I have done and still do. It takes a long time to detox with this. But it is absolutely necessary. Kat
