Hi- New member, just joined, wanted to spread some good news on the Morgellons front. Although I do not have Morgellons, a good friend of mine who has had it for over 3 years may have found something to keep it under contro. A good friend of mine in Reno, NV who is a morgellons sufferer has found a protocol that apparently has removed all the symptoms of Morgellons from his body. The protocol uses several different products from several different sources. According to him, it takes about 3 months for all the Morgellon's symptoms to go away. Let me state that I am not a scammer, or salesman for anything related to Morgellons. I do sales, but my forte is selling memberships to a local non-profit building organization. My friend Mel was interviewed by the Reno Gazzette Journal last month: do a google search for the Reno Gazzette Journal: Reno man claims recovery from mysterious skin disease - as he had his doctor confirm that all his morgellons symptoms have gone away by using his protocol. Originally he felt he was "cured" of Morgellons, but as of last week, with a consultation with his doctor, they suggested that they will use the term that is Morgellons is under control. I visited him last week and he looks great. The sores are gone and he says his life is back to normal. But he still takes the ingredients of his protocol on a daily basis. His protocol consists of several products (non of which you can buy on his website). He created a website on which he describes his protocol which apparently costs him about $50 a month to do. Nowhere on the site is there any way to purchase anything. He sells nothing on his site. He created the site as a way for him to offer his findings and to answer any questions if people want to try his protocol. This may or may not work for your problems, but you may want to take a look. I am sorry if this appears as a solicitation. It isn't. One thing I have found with this community is that when you offer a possible solution, everyone thinks you are trying to sell something. This isn't the case here. Rick

It is good to hear from you. I was the one who posted the article on the Reno Man so I do know who you are talking about. Three key phrases I want to say though: Remission, Disease Management, disease maintenance. Some have had remission for YEARS only to have Morgellons Disease return. At best it can be knocked dormant. So cure you do not hear from me personally much. Although I am always hopeful for that. Welcome to M-D-R mtnblue and it is good to know there is hope for us as well as useful information. We look forward to hearing more from you in here. ![]() (LC) Last edited by ladycolorado; March 17th, 2009 at 03:52 PM.

He thought he had it cured for a while there and he stopped taking the protocol, but then he started feeling something and immediately went back on the protocol. So, according to him, his protocol allows him to lead a normal life without any Morgellons symptoms. I don't need to tell you, what that may mean to the millions of Morgellons sufferers. At least the biting and the lesions go away and you can maintain some sort of normalcy.

YES. 100 percent remission is something I KNOW is possible. I had two days of it. To keep it at bay is EXTREMELY desirable. (LC)

Thanks and welcome mtnblue! Here's them links: Reno Gazzette Journal: Reno man claims recovery from mysterious skin disease: (3/02/09) Reno man claims recovery from mysterious skin disease - How I Cured Morgellons His Protocol: Mel's Protocol - How I Cured Morgellons - anyone tried Bactrim before? Its sulphur based, so its a good starter for 10! Bactrim: Bactrim Information from Drugs.com "You should not use Bactrim if you are allergic to sulfamethoxazole or trimethoprim, if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you have anemia (lack of red blood cells) caused by folic acid deficiency. Before using Bactrim, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, a folic acid deficiency, asthma or severe allergies, AIDS, a glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency (G6PD deficiency), or if you are malnourished." I cant try it right now, but maybe in a month or so. Jo xxx ps- sorry LC if you're covered this in another thread (im being lazy not looking)

Welcome mtnblue!! Thanks Jo..just wanted to ask "a stupid question" here ![]() Sounds promising anyhow...a few days without symptoms would be great! Anyone noticed how "humble" we all got here?? ![]() Katinka

mtnblue- I read the article as soon as it came out, and had gone to Mel's website as well. There is no doubt in my mind that he is just trying to tell people what combination of things helped him. I don't understand why people don't read carefully and think before they judge. I am sorry for any negativity that went your way or Mel's. Thank him for me. There have been several approaches that seemed to have put this into remission, but none of them work for everyone, unfortunately. jfw (John) on LB and a couple of other places developed a far more complicated protocol that has him in remission (he thinks he's cured) for 4-5 years. Same for wife (though she had 2 Lyme relapses in those years) and either his mother or mother-in-law. Dr. Staninger has an even MORE complex protocol, and quite expensive to buy all the things you need, organic foods, etc., and has had a lot of success with people who have the $ and stamina to follow it (I think most of the people who stick with it for 90 days become 100% symptom free). Of course, as LC pointed out, only time will tell. But being symptom-free aor a year, for example, is a hell of a lot better than being tormented for a year! It would be intersting to see if anyone else has the same results as Mel...anyone trying it??? SS

Mel actually tried Dr S's protocol and it didn't work for him. He has been in constant contact with her and called her and told her about his protocol, but apparently she wasn't interested. My guess is she needs to find something that she can patent to pay for all the free research she has been doing up to now. Not that I blame her, as working for free sucks. Mel tells me that there are currently 4 other people trying it and the one who started the earliest is starting to show results (maribeth the nurse practictioner as per his forum) and she is estatic about it. I don't know if you guys have seen this article, but it was posted on Mel's forum - but unfortunately since I have not made 15 posts I cannot post the link, but look under the title "Extremely Compelling Information" - the article makes a compelling connection between GMO foods and Morgellons. Top that article off with the fact that the Obama administration wants to lock down organic foods so the big multinationals can have the run of the roost, gives me a very uncomfortable feeling - and I don't say this just to bash the Obama administration.

One more thing- one of the guys who posts on his forum - his name is John Burgestiner and he owns one of the companies that sells on portion of the protocol- I have read quite a few of his posts and he appears to be a very bright and intuitive guy- he likens Mel's protocol to a home based Chemotherapy and highly recommends that you only do it under a doctor's care- apparently the Bactrium and MMS both are pretty nasty stuff in their own rights- but maybe this is the right combination to do the trick. So, to be safe, if you do try to do this protocol- try to find a doctor who will not pass judgment on you and will monitor your body's reaction to the cocktail you will dosing yourself with.
