Although i wont use antibiotics for this myself I thought it may work for someone else........do your research and decide for yourself if you want to try antibiotics . What cures one may not cure another . Make sure to use probiotics and anti candida diet if you use antibiotics to combat yeast

Hey frisk,

I wouldn't dismiss antibiotics if I was sure the docs knew what they were treating.

Im on the same page as you Kritts............not gonna be a guinea pig. But i put it up because there have been a few over the years that have been cured or in remission from antibiotics. My body really doesnt like antibiotics personally so Id rather treat more naturally with diet and herbs

I kind of do both: the antibiotics and the herbs. Remember, without this place I would have not been able to hold myself together waiting to see doctor, I used herbs to help me. I still do some. I think without cumin have had digestive tract in bad shape, it helped me to eat again. As far as antibiotics, I am tolerating them well, as I very seldom had to take them before disease, and took until ALL GONE. I think will unfortunately be on them a long time, as the way infected made it more severe than some. If I find something, natural with promise try that, but giving up my meds is very dangerous risk, as I like to walk and all. Probiotics MUST be taken at seperate time from antibiotics or they can negate each other. My main risk is the antifungal med and the antiparsitcals, which is why get tiered treatment and periodic bursts ivermectin and small daily dose of antifungal to prevent problems, NOT heavy doses. The good doctors not careless either, they have you get blood drawn periodically to make sure you are okay on medicines. So both is okay for me, I think we each find our own way in getting well, don't you? Whatever works or helps I say. (LC)

My two cents here:

I wouldn't take both antibiotics and herbs at the same time, since many medications are herb based and you don't know what the combination will do.

Second, when you take antibiotics, be sure to take a pro-biotic, but not at the same time as antibiotic, since they will cancel each other out. If you don't take pro-biotic, it may be opportunistic for allowing another pathogen into the mix since most immune cells are busy fighting off original critters.

Two more cents.....antibiotics are specific. How do they know what to give you, if they don't even know what the heck this is? Sorry........I'm just so disenchanted with doctors.

Hi Kritters,

Antibiotics are not always specific for example broad spectrum antibiotics which are an antibiotic that work against a wide range of disease-causing bacteria. As far as i was aware the doctors treating it were treating the bacteria people were testing positive too which i don't believe to be too radical.

I am far from pro doctors so know exactly where your coming from, the majority of them are in it for the money just like the pharma industry and the rest of the world.......

Kritts... as Jason says many anti biotics are broad spectrum so tackle a wide range of infection... and yes of course take them at different times to the probiotics which you certainly need to build the 'goodies' back up while the antibiotics destroy the 'badies' and inevitably some of the good bacteria. Another problem is that you must rotate different antibiotics as the bugs adapt to them and then they don't work any more....

Many of the herbs, vits, minerals etc I take are for building up the immune system so that one is stronger to fight all that is going on and some of course are to protect the liver and intestine etc..from damage..

I think things like samento and cumanda are also helpful... On the whole I am definitely getting better altho; have plenty of bad days too. Milly x
