I was interested in learning the background emphasis of these researchers.
~Shafer's link: please tell me I misinterpreted something! Her publications are mostly on schizophrenia? I hope Kaiser isn't going in this direction with Morgellon's research.
~Risch's link: he is a professor of human genetics. Recent publications include Molecular Genetic Approaches in genetic epidemiology of cancer; Genetic Structure-importance of race and ethnic background in biomedical research and clinical practice. Hmmm, I hope they didn't throw any of those genetic molecules down the drain. This guy may be on to something. I've stopped crying.

Yeah, doesn't this CDC study look like a crocka? Anyway, it is sad, and I am so glad MRF grabbed the reins on this one. One of these people sounds like a social worker. I am so impressed. Not. It seems like their direction of research is the "you are all nuts position and have genetic problems to boot." Why I posted this, and it is also why am so glad Bubba got on the very same day about Dr. Harvey's latest research with his team! So we would not get too discouraged. Yeah!

I saw this thread by TCM and I thought it should be brought up again.
Now we know it was all a cruel hoax by the CDC I thought we could look at theses erm ....Doctors again and I could ask 'Where is Chocket?'Was she told to stop discussing the study with us?

Wow, Carla, I can't believe a year and half has gone by since I wrote these posts about the CDC. Incredible. To this day we still have heard nothing from the CDC. Frustrating.

After this length of time and and after at one point looking into and then posting about leishmaniasis I have begun to understand in some ways why our symptoms may be connected to a genetic problem. In leishmaniasis, which also has some pretty nasty lesions erupt, some folks can be infected and still not have leishmaniasis show up in their bodies as they can fight off the infections. It is a flaw in the type of T-cells which deal with infection and how the T-cells respond to infections which allows some who have exposure to leishmaniasis to develop skin lesions while others remain asymptomatic.

Still with the paltry sum Kaiser and AFIP have had for investigating this disease I have to wonder how thorough it could be. If this initial government study of morgellons just gives some indications for further research we may have to be satisfied.

Besides Chocket posting about her experiences with the study I thought there was another person who posted about her test results, saying that she had been diagnosed with MRSA as far as a reason for her lesions (I don't think this was chocket). Sorry, I can't remember the member name.

Forgot to say be careful of this scizophrenia folks...its contagious.I visited 2 close friends today and they have red areas on the faces and we all know this is a well known symptom of schizophrenia now don't we.
Also that Shaefer lady looks like she should be home baking apple pies or some such thing.Probably be more use to the population doing that too.
