Default Morgellon meds

Its funny, I probably would have liked the information on creams and ointments to improve my scalp itching, sometimes I had to pour redwine vinegar on my head so I could just sleep. Six months after that my scalp went numb though. But since then Ive been treated for lyme disease and the only meds which helps were Biaxin, doxycycline, and Ketek. I purchased ivermectin and found a little improvement although I was unsure of the the dosage. Actually had a picc line installed for four monthes with clindamyacin and zithromax for lyme disease, the clinda helped restore feeling in alot of my body as well as help brain symptoms. Numbness and depression come back quickly when I go a week or more off them.
Recently I just started a new protocal, I do Ketek ( a myacin antibiotic) 800mg a day, minocycline 100mg twice a day, and fluconazole(diflucan) 100mg twice a day, and mebendazole 100mg a day. In a week im gonna add biltricide but i am curious as what dose I should try? Fluconazole, when combined with MSM and antibiotics, really cleared up my skin rash on my scalp previously (it was scary to note i was getting wart like growths on my skin, like my immune system was giving up-those went away too). I imagine itll be six monthes or more before I can slow down on meds...I'm tired of being numb and brain fogged. Maybe all these meds will finally beat this thing down. Gotta be real careful with diflucan btw-it can mess up your liver. Its werid how it takes a antibiotic, an antifungal, an anti worm, and an antiparasite drug to make a difference. Anybody found a more effective antibiotic or antiparasite drug? Anybody really been cured? I used to be huge into vitamins, like the vitamin c and salt protocol i tried which did nothing for me. I thought i had a really strong immune system and one bite from a tic almost kills me. Honeybun is right, this disease will eventually kill you if you do not seek treatment. Also I heavily reccemend that you stay away from Bactrim or septra or its generics. they have done permanent damage via a neurological reaction to them-docs wanted me to stay on it saying it was a herx-herx my foot-that drug alone messed me up. Any replys are welcome just dont tell me about ointments or lotions and call it a cure.

Hi Charles You have got to try to think positively with this thing.A few people have had it for over ten years and they are not dead. Depression , lack of sleep can kill you though . I was completely overwhelmed for a while, crying all the time ,panicking, no sleep or food for days on the run looked like a extra from thriller. Now i`m hot again .Also if bubba believes in something enough to post a recommendation it true. You gotta pick yourself up ,take loads of garlic, bathe everyday.
Have i seen you at lymebusters?

Did my post make you panick? Doctors used to think that telling a person they had cancer would stress them out too much so they wouldnt tell them. Now obviously things are different, but it was the intention of my post to describe the seriousness of this disease not make people freak out. I lied to myself for many months-saying to myself "o its what the doc says-its head lice or something" and I wasted three or fours months trying shampoos and other things that didnt work while my symptoms progressed. Thats all, if anything I think you shouldnt freak out because I did and I took the septra Ds my doc prescribed for lyme when beforehand I had read all the horrible experiences on the internet by some people and it messed me up good. On a positive note, I think the diflucan is really kicking the crap out of the morgs in my brain, the first day I took it I got a severe headache but it had the good feeling of relaxing a sore muscle. My thinking/outlook are noticeably better and some more feeling is coming back. Im gonna wait on the biltricide though for now. Sorry, it just frustrated me at the time reading the posts here thinking, that whereever I go and i look for information on morgellons, tons of different people are selling/describing different made it themselves shampoos under every post and those never worked for me-but hopefully they will work with others here. On a side note, cutting my hair short really reduced the itchiness and biting in the early stages, as well as ironically running a dense tic comb through my hair.

Charles i feel your pain. I am the owner of site with I share with every one here. Trust me on this one. We are not here to sell or shill anything to anybody here. Every one heres very supportive and so far truly caring. Let me be blunt with you, as the owner of the site. I have had various people offer me money to sell products, since we have become very popular on the net for morgellons. If you ever see me or others here flat out promoting something believe me, it must be something that was tested and has been shown to help out many.

Now with that said, there are cream or lotions or shampoos that can help ease the pain and discomfort. And if people offer that advice to ease the pain, i see no wrong in that at all. In fact thats what we are here for, to help each other with different treatments. We are no wear near a cure, but at least we try to make it less debilitating. Welcome to the forums and i hope you find some comfort here.

Hi Charles, welcome to the site. I know how frustrating this disease is - the worst part of it for me was to go from doctor to doctor and only leave there bawling because within the first four minuites of the visit, I knew exactly what they were thinking and going to say -that it was all in my head and to leave the sores alone. Then, to top it off - thinking that if I brought proof, a sample, well wouldn't that prove it to them? Nope. That is considered a symptom of delusional parasitosis (wonder where they thought I dug this crap out of?).

I was on cloud 9 this summer when a friend cut an article out of the paper regarding morgellons. She said it sounded like what I had been dealing with. I was absolutely on top of the world, to think that someone else had this. And had a name for it! Not that I was happy to see others suffer from this, but I had felt alone in this for over ten years.

I have had much luck with the salt/peroxide soaks; vinegar/water soaks, selsun blue washes, vitamin c and garlic supplements that Bubba has listed. The great thing is, that the vast majority of it is cheap, you can go to the drugstore and get it.

None of these treatments work over night. But I tell you what, I had seen more results in a week (now it has been approximately two months) than ANYTHING I have done in ten years.

I know it is frustrating. I don't use all of the treatment steps recommended here ((I must confess I am being lazy about it). But what I have been doing, I have been diligent with. The lesions on the side of my face, I am sure is the International Heaquarters of my Morgellons and they are vacating (goood riddance!!). So until that glorious day comes, we all have to be patient (I know it is hard) and make use of what has worked. Some things may not work as well for all but I would be willing to bet that you WILL find some relief from the tips here. You WILL find HOPE here - if you really want to find it.

So hang in there, Charles. We are all in this together, and as Bubba says, WE WILL WIN!

i will add that if i was not doing the salt, vit c and the baths i would most likely be covered in lesions, half crippled, and half blind. any added tools i have suggested are mostly cheap, with the exception of the black cumin, but i suggested the usa blackssed site because they appeared to be pure good quality products, and not watered down junk. i have ordered them myself and become a guinea pig myself, at my own financial cost.(belive me this stinks, because we might lose our home, and has turned many things in my life upside down). now i will say for myself, the green cumin (i like the powder in bullion, yes yucky at first but i dont care aborbs well takes about three days to get into system)is very cheap from the mexican aisle (like 50 cents to a dollar) and has helped restore my mental clarity and also helps with the other neurological symtoms, and other things like joint pain and appetite and it is a digestive aid. yes it is difficult, and very discouraging to feel as if this disease is irrovocably entwined in my body until a cure is found. i have days of victory, and days where it comes at me five times harder in vengence and does its best to knock me down. yes, i still wait with the blizzard here and the holidays slowing down the test result to finally reach the chronic disease clinic, but it is because he is so good, and the wrong treatments as many have said, can make things worse.so i wait and test things. mostly things at the very worst, have no negative side effects as i will have to be blasted with heavy duty medicines soon.lets all work toghether as a team, as best as we can because we have so little support as it is. in the preservation of ourselves.

Thanks for the support guys,

Bubba come on man, I didnt chew you out or ridicule you. My second post explained my intent behind my first, and I didnt accuse anyone on this site of selling me anything, it was a generalized statement based on previous experience of going to a morgs site and evil people trying to profit by an enzyme shampoo or something and they tell me its a cure or something. I can tell your helping means alot to you, Bubba, and none of my temporary cynicism was directed at you. Id like to think my personal commitment is letting people know what meds work against this thing until a cure or even the disease's recognition is established. Has anyone else tried the diflucan or another anti fungal? The nurse whos treating this disease in texas (Savely?) said that morgs seemed to be "part fungus, part bacteria, and part parasite". Anway, the antifungal is doing very well for me, with the other stuff of course. If the biltricide didnt irritate my pinched nerve, i would give it a try cause it worked very well when i first tried it but my pinched nerve got too irritated (numbness). I'd like to restate my previous question of whether anyone found a drug that worked well for them on morgs?

Bubba looks like your a man after my own heart. Have you tried MSM powder-methylsulfonylmethane (anti inflammatory, antiparasitic) both orally and topically? Parasites hate sulfur. I take acetyl L carnitine and lipoic acid also for neuropathy. Its expensive, but Hulda clark recommends a parasite b consisting of 5 or six grams of co Q10 taken at one time. I did it before I got infected and got out alot of parasites and did it again recently at 7 grams and really boosted my energy for about a week. You said you tried biltricide before and it didnt work for you?

Charles thanks for the informative posts. Interesting reading. MSM is good stuff, my mom is on it. It helps with her arthritis flare ups. Q10 is a really good supplement, but did you get any side effects taken 7 grams? I as well use acetyl L carnitine, seems to give me a metal boost. I also like ginkgo as well.
By the way Bubba Is a woman.

Hey,

I said several times the doctor didn't advise vet meds!!!

But, lets be perfectly clear about a few things. 1 Horse medications have a higher purity standard than human medicines PERIOD!!! 2) Equimax is manufactured by phizer and cheaper than buying Biltricide, even with insurance. And, it doesn't have all the fillers that human meds do so it doesn't give you the ****s, in fact no side effects with taking many times the normal dose by weight. It helps to eat a lot of sugar before the dose to draw them out into the blood stream.

It worked for me , totally eliminating the symptoms, but when I quite after about 2 weeks they started to return.

Christmas really set me back. I was totally symptom free and all lesions were scabbed over healing nicely. I got so busy I got of off my routine and about 2 days ago started noticine "them". A new lession, itching, a few black specks. I didn't finish the entire protocol so it is expected. My feed store ran out of Equimax some time ago so I went to another brand with 1/2 as much praziquantel. Probably the problem.

But, it is funny that no one mentioned the combination of anti-fungal, anti-parasite, and antibiotic until I posted. Which is EXACTLY what the VERY Qualified Doctor recommends, who has a list of patients healed of the disease.

Causing Panic by telling the truth? Pumping sunshine up peoples butt never helped anyone.
