| Yes, this is the worst thing the disease does, rob many of their memory and those abilities which are attached to strong memory function (such as word recall). Hopefully this loss is not permanent if a cure is found any time soon. Mostly it seems to be short term memory which is most affected by Morgellons and/or lyme, specifically the limbic system which was mentioned by Dr. Harvey. There are some totally reversible memory issues that could be involved. The real problem is that there is so little research going on with Morgellons syndrome issues as a whole. The control of such symptoms is possibly years away because of that. I have heard of a possible control medication (the medication allegedly already exists) for chronic fatigue, but so far that has not become a reality. Even though the person I spoke with is pretty sure there will soon be an effective treatment for fatigue (and hopefully memory too) until we see that happen it is best not to get hopes up too high IMHO (and no, they would not tell me what medication was involved or exactly how or if the drug might have to be modified or even if it was being clinically studied yet) ...so many disappointments, not just for us, but for those with Gulf War syndrome and chronic fatigue and other autoimmune and environmental issues. All of us sitting against that wall like wallflowers waiting and hoping to be asked to dance... quote=Phatgrower;83059]This M thing is literally killing me... no memory, always frustrated, cxant get words out, crawling n biting.... ****[/quote]
