Hi..I don't have pictures because I dont have a scope. I live in FL>, right at the edge of Tampa Bay. They brought in landfill (DIRT) to bring up the wetland to build the condos I live in. They dug out the usual "ponds" for water retention issues. It is beautiful, like a KeyWest style resort. Here is the problem. My unit is groundfloor, facing the pond. The back porch faces the pond. Under the units there is sand Every time my husband goes out on that dang porch, even if only for a minute to go into the closet out there, he infects the house, and I end up with the crawlies within hours, and glitter on me to prove something is there. (Fleas leave glitter as waste ) We cannot see them, but they are crawling all over me. they multiply sooo fast! within 2 or 3 hours the entire house is completley infested! But you cant see them and only I CAN FEEL THEM! But the glitter all over my skin proves they are there...The cat at some point starts looking around acting all sketchy. I am wondering if there is something strange with the fill, is this normal for fleas, is it the sand, (sandfleas?) What the heck are these?!! They jump...i know that much.

Hi Sudio, Sandfleas can carry diseases and transmit them. Leischmaniasis is one and there are others. Landfill should have IMO been treated before they used it to build upon, but even then, there would be no guarantee not only sandfleas, but other pathogenic entities aren't in it. Not only that, but there may not be proper drainage under the building, which means mold/fungus. If I were you, I would get a sample and have it tested. I would do it before letting the condo association know about it. just my personal opinion. You might want to contact an attorney first to see what your options are. Some may think this advice is overkill, but after what we've all been through, and continue to go through, I tend to stay on the side of anticipating the worst and hopefully being wrong. Best, Kritts

Hi Sudio, When I first had my Morgellons outbreak, these black 'seeds' were falling out of my head all over the place, when I went to the ER here in Atlanta at Emory University (one of the best in the nation), the doctor examined the specimens I had brought in and that were visibly falling on the white sheet of the exam table out of my head sores. I was diagnosed with 'fleas', that he believed he was seeing flea eggs or debris, he didn't say which one. He appeared to be very intelligent and knowledgeable. The nurse on duty also verified that she thought his diagnosis was a correct one. At this time, there had been no pets in my home for years, and no signs whatsoever of fleas in my home - I told the doctor this, when asked. And, I have since found out that supposedly, humans cannot 'host' or it's not medically known for humans to host fleas up under their skin, as was happening with me. At a later time, I took the same specimens enclosed in tape to a Vet to verify if they were flea related, and she could not be sure. And, I believe I contracted some forms of my Morgellons in the gulf area of Florida on the beach and was working up under a 'funky' double-wide in the sand crawl space basement. Are you continiously 'affected', meaning - do the symptoms of the flea infestation go away after you have gone thru your measures of ridding them in your environment? Do you still itch or feel signs of them on your body after you have sprayed or whatever? What method are you using to rid them in your environment? What is your 'personal' opinion about what's happening? And... if you've told other people in that location, what's their opinions or reactions? Has anyone else around you witnessed anything similiar? Last edited by -----------; December 2nd, 2008 at 08:12 PM.

Sudio - There seems to be a form of Morgellons that presents more like bugs - usually bird mites, but I've heard fleas as well. You might want to look at the birdmitesorg (no dot) site. At least half of the members there have openly expressed that they think they have Morgellons, but the group's owner, Tim (very nice guy) does not like discussions about Morgellons, as he believes that the problem is bird mites, period. You might find some helpful hints there. SS

JAMS - Just Another Morgellons [Disease] Site I found this link a couple of weeks ago. It talks about sand flea's has some good pictures that look very familiar to me. Glitter and flea's? Never heard this I have a glitter issue and wondered about it. Do you have a link that explains glitter and flea's? Cyn ![]() ![]()

I don't know about glitter & fleas, but it seems most everyone reports seeing the glitter. I've only seen it a few times, but then again I don't like to look too closely at anthything. Funny story, a year ago I was very interested in these and wanted to magnify one. Well, I was driving on a sunny day and a green one was on my extended arm. I hoped it wouldn't fall off before I pulled off the road to look at it with the magnifier I had with me. Well, I made it, and only after setting myself did I realize that it was a piece of glitter that fell off the Christmas card I had just bought! It was too big, was round, and matched the card that I had in a little bag with me. I guess all that glitters is not gold, or "glitter" for that matter. SS

hi...its me Sudio, aka Glitterlitter... I love the suggestion of taking a sample of the soil, as I have UMPTEEN dehumidifiers going 24-7 or it begins to smell wet and moldy. As to the question of what happens when I de-flea. I use Bombs...It cleans it up. I use flea shampoo, it takes 2-3 showers. My husband stopped going out there and we have not had a problem since and my Morgellons symptoms have calmed down. My girlfriend has dog and a house full of fleas. i am afraid to go near her. I hugged her one day, and later that day I was crawling again, and I went and looked into the bathroom mirror, in the dark, using a small flashlight, and there was silver glitter around my eyes and on my cheeks. Right where the crawling was. Apparently a flea found its way from her long hair into mine. It is a fact that silver glitter is the hallmark sign of flea infestation. It is thier waste byproduct. I found that online, when my car, computer, and me were littered with it, and I was trying to find answers in the beginning. With Morgs, there may well be more to it, but the glitter and fleas is basic. I have realized since I origanally posted that mites are a big problem for me as well. I must be a mites.flea type morgy. and to make it worse, I live on a flea/mite nest. The soil sample may be my only hope of getting out of here with the market as it is. Sue them or something....

HELLO, I have the perfect idea this may be your problem but I do believe it is theres. 1 You need to check with your neighbors to see if they have mold or been treated for mold, IF the place had been treated for mold it must state that in the disclosuer, I AM ALMOST SURE. as well as lead base paint. Then also find out who's job it is to keep the condo free of water or mold. You do all your history before you mention anything about sueing. Government state and federal law is good stuff when it comes to safty concerns. You may also want to do a RADON test. Search your address online, search the condo comunity name. I was in one of these places and the smell of mildew and mold was terrible.

This is an interesting thread. I too had insects burrow under my skin. Namely snow fleas (Columbia), head lice and also some unknown winged flying insect which also bit. I also shed once or twice fly pupa cases. I have also had the glitter before. I have had the black specks. Yes they can indeed jump. Sometimes these specks can even be colored or brown looking. Well I think with the insects that they are drawn due to pheromones emitted from specks and fibers. They even get inside the insects in a Morgellons home And alter their normal behavior. I call them "Zombie Bugs". In Colorado these insects would make a beeline right for me. I always had a shoe handy when I saw one. Outdoors the pheromones seem to attract insects as well. I learned when eating out that the one bug like a fly, moth, gnat what have you adored MY table and me. I would ask the server for vinegar and wipe the table down to eat in peace. This is an old food server trick by the way. It works too. Now for a long time I thought the specks, glitter what have you were insects. They are NOT insects however. I saw pictures on this very site Steve put up (I think) and the black specks magnified are actually clusters of baby morgellons fibers. The fibers can move as well like the specks. (notice this if taking a weak treatment bath). I have also seen pictures of black specks hatching from dying red blood cells of a Morgellons patient. I think once in our system (we are exposed of course somehow from the environment or sometimes a sick animal) every time our red blood cells die these specks hatch out. This disease uses blood internally and air externally (like the fibers poking out of our skin) as oxygen supply . Your glitter is a leaner meaner form of the black specks essentially. Colored specks and fibers are also meaner. So is stuff that does not burn. Yeah they sting harder and are alot meaner. I don't miss them much I would say. I theorize perhaps the silver crystal chip like things come from these things when they grow bigger. Pheromones attract insects, the fibers and specks change their behavior. Look at alot of us. When really sick we get word substitutions and do things which are "not us". Weird. Internally Morgellons Disease exploits many things our bodies use. It has a hive mentality, it uses our bodies chemical and electrical system to communicate. It uses our blood as food and to travel through our system. I think that is why Dr. Harvey wanted me to get a Groshon IV catheter going to a vein near my heart. Every time my heart pumped, it would go to many of the places the disease would hide. The first week I looked like a raid commercial. Every wound and the catheter site oozed and became clogged with black specks. Some say these fibers have no DNA. I am puzzled by this. My dad who used to be a RN said this is possible prions do not either. Strange indeed. The specks grow into fibers. I wonder if this glitter grows into the chip like crystals. Derbis from insects does not sting. The glitter does. (LC) Last edited by ladycolorado; December 11th, 2008 at 05:21 AM.
