- January 22nd, 2010 11:19 AMSadsackJonsi - I need to talk to you about something that I'd rather not write about. Can you call me either after 7 (EST) tonight or sometime on the weekend? Thanks SS
- January 19th, 2010 12:47 AMjonsiThank you for sharing Wymore's letter to you. I know he is on our side. I have let go of the issue I had with him. I don't think he realizes how much food can affect us "morgies". I am a strong believer in organic food, not eating junk/fast foods. GMO foods hurt us too.
Dr. Wymore has helped us by being one of the only scientists (PhD) that knows "Morgellons" is real. I wish him good health and pray he can find a good assistant to help him with his work.
Peace & love to you shawnuch,
In the white light,

I haven't been on your site for a while, but I got this email reply from Professor, Randy S. Wymore, Phd.
He is the Associate Professor of Pharmacology & Physiology at
Oklahoma State University, Center for Health Sciences
I personally view him to be a very CREDITABLE person and I thought I'd share the relpy from him with you to give people hope.
Please be thoughtful of his contact info. I don't want him to be flooded by Crazies. He's an Ally and we want to keep him that way. Ok?
Ray & Daughter, Shona
Dear Mr. Ray Terry & Daughter.
I am not a physician. I am a PhD scientist. Nothing I say is advice; more like observations. I can tell you that after having interacted with many people who seem to have had Morgellons for a number of years, that it does not seem to get progressively worse. So, please do not assume that you or your daughter will get worse. Actually the opposite is true for some; those who force themselves into a regular schedule (even when they feel horrible), exercise their body and their mind (forced reading, puzzles, games, computer games, etc) tend to make the most improvement. I know of several Morgellons sufferers who have managed to mainstream themselves back into working.
The key for now is that it must be treated like ANY chronic disease; that is to say that there will be good days and bad days. One bit of advice from a number of people, it may seem odd, but MANY Morgellons sufferers report a reduction of symptoms when they wash all clothes & linens as normal, but with the addition of Borax laundry additive. Sounds odd, no? Still, that is what numerous people have told me. Some who have made the most improvement never wear clothes for more than 1 day before they wash them. Towels & sheets get washed 1-2 times a week. Also, taking a mineral supplement with a bit of boron, or a separate boron mineral supplement has been reported as helping. The main thing above all else is that you cannot give up. Also, do not expect your condition to worsen; the opposite is likely. Expect the symptoms to stabilize and then at some point to actually make improvements. That seems to be the usual outcome as time goes on. We still do not know the cause of Morgellons, although that is the bulk of my research.
Do you take any meds for Morgellons?
You do need to make sure that the lesions in your nostrils do not become secondarily infected. A physician could look into the nose to see what the lesions look like & take a swab to culture. It is very easy to get a fungal (yeast), or bacterial infection that might need antibiotics or an anti-fungal medication. I would suggest taking your daughter to a pediatrician or family practice doctor with the complaint of a ‘possible infection in the nostrils’. Then, let the doctor work up the situation. Do NOT use the word Morgellons, or bring up fibers or anything that the doctor might perceive as odd. Just allow the examination and diagnosis take its course. If there IS a secondary infection, then that really needs to be taken care of. If not, you will have wasted some money, but at least will know that there is no staph or other secondary infection there. Since there is no known official treatment for Morgellons, bringing that up with the doctor will accomplish nothing, so I don’t recommend that you do that. Don’t get into arguments with the doctor as it is more important to get the acute situation under control first.
About the joint aches….Do your daughter’s joints ever visibly swell or are they just sore? Not everyone with Morgellons reports joint problems. Was she tested for any autoimmune disorders like JRA or lupus? She should perhaps be tested for Lyme disease as chronic Lyme often causes joint problems.
Some of my children & grandchildren live in Austin. I didn’t notice in your email, where do you now live?
Best wishes,
Randy
