Default My Son

I just want to say how lucky I am for my son, Christopher.
He is such a loving, sweet, kid. He was a premie baby, but you would never know that by looking at him now, age 16 and standing 5'10 with size 11 shoe. He's due date was May 5th but he was born February 16th, weighing only 3.8. He had to spend 48 days in neo-natal intensive care before I was able to bring him home from the hospital.
He has a very sweet disposition and never complains. Walking the dog is one of his chores and he always makes sure to do this even when he has plans to go somewhere, never having to be told to do so.
He is very affectionate and never embarrassed to hug his mom and tells me he loves me all the time.
We hang out together by choice and have such a good time even if we aren't doing anything but laying around.
I feel very blessed for my son and thank God every day for giving me my little miracle.

GG, he is very handsome. You are very blessed indeed. Does your son have M as well? My 10yr old son does and it breaks my heart daily knowing he is going to go through what I am going through someday soon. It's the worst feeling in all this mess and I feel so guilty that I couldn't protect him from it.

Hi MeaganM,
Yes, I believe he does have m too. I was checking out his head, saw a white hair and busted out with the tweezers and plucked it and the end or root of it looked just like mine do. Having that whitish goop at the end. I also have seen the red pimple looking marks on him. He had complained of being itchy, scratching his head several months ago.
You see, I have had pimples on my back since I was a teenager, they would come and go and of course usually be worst during summer. (i have very oily skin) Anyways, both my kids, have inherit that from me so because of that, it's been difficult to tell about the morgellons. Now I know for sure I do.
Chris's back isn't too bad at all right now and he hasn't complained about any itching, or pain, or anything. I also have told him about morgellons and I am scared he may not share any symptoms because of knowing about me and the disease.
It is heartbreaking isn't it knowing your child has this freaking disease? (i have much other colorful words for it but unable to share on a post)
The guilt is incredible, I know what you mean. I wish I could tell you not to feel bad, but I totally know how you feel and completely blame myself for my son getting morgellons. We are mothers that are suppose to love, protect and nurture our children. Not infect them, and I hate the fact that he can be sick because of me.

Thanks for the reply GG. I'm glad someone understands. Sometimes I just break out crying for my son and his future. I pray everyday that someone will find a cure before he gets to the point where I am today. Then, I worry about when he gets married and has kids. He is my whole world and I would give anything if he didn't have this.

Word of encouragment, this is a long term disease, it eats at you slowly, I got it at 18 and it took all this time to whip me.

My daughter was born with this I know and if she would stop abusing herself with alcohol and other things she would probably stay well for a very long time.

Then again because I had it did my DNA adapt and make it just a little better for her.

I do not know but last time I saw her the skin was near perfect.

There is another item I would like to mention, my skin when not under attack from some slight issues was dam near perfect and many people had said just that to me, your skin is so smooth and nice. I was the Ivory soap man, LOL.

When they said that it sparked thought, why is my skin so dam nice, and at other times attacked.

The immune system was kept on high.

GG, your son will be fine, they will find out what this is and address it before he gets to our age.

Or he will never manifest being second generation of DNA to deal with it.

The human system is magnificent!

Hey you must be very pretty too having a son that is this handsom.

There is nothing better then children that make you proud.

Like Carla always says eat right skip the manufactured food.

Thank you everyone for your kind words about my son, yes he is a hottie!

I agree with you Katinka about the love between a mother and child. How sweet what you wrote about your son leaving for his motorcycle trip. It's moments like that, that I replay in my mind all the time.

Meagan u r a good mom and I understand how you feel.
