Anyone spitting out brownish blood

Hi..I had a terrible taste in my mouth the other morning, was half asleep so had a mouthwash, when I spat it out I was amazed to see loads of brownish blood in sink, I thought I must have throat cancer,T.B. etc, I'm extremely fussy about my teeth, clean 6-10 times a day & always flossing.

I kept doing extra flossing, & salt water mouthwashes to stop any infection, I thought it had stopped bleeding after about 3 days, but on getting up next morning same thing spitting blood.

I got a dental appointment, but dentist said nothing wrong with tooth where I thought the blood was coming from, of course it never came out whilst I was in the dental surgery, next morning I sucked on tooth, loads of blood again!!

Does anyone know if a sinus infection can make blood come from teeth?

Yes. Just from my limited knowledge, the tri-geminal nerve serves the sinuses, the eyes, nose, throat, teeth, etc. It's all connected somehow. How bad is it? I'll tell ya. Have a root canal one day, a *&^%$#@ heart attack the next. That's how bad. I'm sure all the othe systems follow suite.

That's why I believe you have to attack from all avenues. Squirt that salt solution up the schnoz...in the eyes, down the throat, in the ears all at once.

Funny you should say salt, I've continually mouthwashed in salt, & its stopped bleeding, & I don't sound so nasal, but good thinking Robin I'll have a snort on salt water too, Thanks Kritts....Spots....

Hi I kept having worse heamoraging (sp) from mouth after this every 6 weeks approx, kept going to dentist, teeth & ngums OK.
Last Oct I bled for a week non stop looked as if I'd chewed on someone's Jugular! Got a mirror & looked in mirror, there was a purple lump in the roof of my mouth, went to Docs he said its your teeth, went back to dentist he sent me to hospital & they removed it & did a biopsy, when i went back they told me it was a Vascular malformation, it had Saliva tissue in it.

Its never come back thank God. I felt like Drac.....

man, id get a different dentist! anytime your spitting up stuff that scares you, get to a doctor!! maybe its not a dentist you need to see, try a different doc, sound like it comes from your stomach, maybe? is it after you cough? that would be lung cheese...
id go to a different doc, not nessecarily a dentist, an eye-ears-nose-and throat doc.. ( do they still have these? i went to one when i was a kid)

My understanding of spots post is that when she had that growth removed she had no further problems.

She lives in UK so getting a doctor or dentist to do what you want is a bit more difficult, which is why I am so looking forward to the way Obama would like to revamp our medical system to be like UK. Even UK is starting to figure out that quite often their care is less than sterling (no pun intended ).

As far as I know there are still otolaryngologists in the US, but expect to see fewer specialists available if the "new" socialized medicine has its way.

Yes I'm quite O.K. the Biopsy was not cancerous & so far I've had no more trouble, if I do get any more lumps I can go back....Spots

oh, ok. i keep forgeting there are people here from the UK..DOH!!
as far as obama....many words come to mind, none of them trustworthy.the guys an idiot, i have no clue just what his plans are. but i dont thin he has the usa in his best intrests.. but i digress...polotics...blah!
