 What do folks think of creating a buddy system? What do some of you "old timers" think about creating a buddy system for newbies who are going through a tough time? I've said it before and I'll say it again, redibooks "adopted" me at another website when she saw what distress I was going through and it made such a huge difference for me. Sometimes it helps to have a one-on-one relationship to steer you through the initial distress. If folks are interested in volunteering as buddies, maybe we could set up a way for newbies to ask for a buddy if they feel they need one. We don't need to be medical experts like Bubba -- heaven knows I'm defintely not. Just big-hearted people who can lend a sympathetic ear, a shoulder to cry on -- and lots of cheering on! Would love to know what you guys think.   |

| Re: What do folks think of creating a buddy system? ............definitely count me in. i feel the fear and pain of the newbies and know they need someone who will listen to what is considered "wild stories" , believe them and really REALLY care about helpin them, in any way, to feelin better about themselves. brenda
