Unhappy specialists....tests..blah,blah,blah

It started with chronic fatigue and mood swings, then abdominal swelling and itching.. a rash all over my trunk, lesions on my back and crazy puple bruising on my legs...... mostly inner and outer upper thigh.. I'm not sur when the biting stinging feeling started but its been there for quite awhile.... There were times when it was almost painful to shower and it would feel like shards of glass were falling on my skin when I shaved my legs.... I have noticed the little black/brown pepper flakes (if you will) and the shiny almost hectogonal things as well.... I'm not sure about the threads... I have a dog and two cats and I'm a hairdresser, so everything looks like a thread.....
Specialisst, Hemotologists, alergists, gastrentologists, infectious disease, my dr, his physicians assistant.... In the beginning I would go to these appts and expect someone to have an answer for me and absolutely cry like a baby when they didn't.... The depression really set in..It has really wreaked havoc on my mental state.. . I now expect the opposite when I go to these appts, and would be pleasantly surprised if someone had an answer.... I notice my symptoms although still exsist are about 5o% better....I've had all kinds of blood work, ultrasounds, urine and stool samples... all hormal except for protein c a smidge low.... I see the dermatologist today, and Rhumetologist in a cpl weeks... This is a living hell

Hello scared mom,

Welcome to the forum. I know Robin and Carla both have children so they understand your fears and know what you are going through. Robin was a hairdresser too, so I know she will be able to help you with understanding how that relates to Morgellons. Jonsi, another long time member, also has a daughter who has Morgellons.

In case you haven't seen these threads I am adding them here:

Treatment For Children With Morgellons

Immune system and nutrition (vitamins and minerals)

There are many others under the treatment section of the forum too.

When you say you have lesions on your back I wonder if some of them are on either side of your spine. When I went to an infectious disease doctor three years into Morgellons I had been forming more lesions on my back along my spine and the shoulder areas. He tested me at that time for some herpes viral infections. Well of the four he tested (herpes simplex 1 and 2 plus hpv 6 and 7). I tested positive for two of what he called reactivated herpes infections, 1 (cold sores) and 6 (roseola). I took acyclovir for about a year and a half. Those types of lesions dried up with this treatment. The ones I get with parasite involvement were not helped by this medication. It appears we do have various involvements in the skin lesions. Anyway, if doctors have not run tests for possible reactivated viral infections it might be something to look into. If you are positive for any of the viral infections then medical treatment would help dry up those types of lesions anyway.

You have gotten some good advice from many of our members here. Carla is right that good food is very important. In my own case it has been hard to buy fresh organic food, mainly because no one grows any nearby. Lately a food co-op has started up and I am now buying my organic vegetables and fruits from them at a price I can afford. They have just started stocking some organic meats as well. I can tell you that within a few days of starting to eat this way, my appetite dropped. I do not seem to need as much food to feel satiated. I think I am noticing that I have more energy as well.

The feeling most have that we cannot rely on doctors for a cure is the truth at this time. Perhaps you can be helped somewhat if an known infection can be treated (as mine was), but so far no one has been cured of all symptoms even then.

That is why, as some have already warned you, it is very important not to be fooled into buying expensive cures for Morgellons. At best supplements and other protocols merely help symptoms. Often what is offered by those contacting new members with such items can be purchased elsewhere for a better price.

Over time and with some of the inexpensive suggestions posted on the treatment section of the forum many of your symptoms should improve.

The most important thing is not to be afraid. The main reason the medical profession may not be good for your health is that they often scare us with their treatments and their prognosis. Eventually you will probably find more relief from the natural suggestions found on the forum, than those offered by doctors. In my own case I have used some of those doctor treatments, but I do not rely on doctors for a cure as so far no one knows exactly what Morgellons is. That goes for those selling more natural products as well.

best to you, tcm

yeah..thats what i thought.ANYWHO.....scared mom, you sound exactly like me with the shards of glass, it started for me on my breasts, then trunk/back shoulders, not so much on my legs, thankfully not in any nether regions, loland now its mostly on my arms and face.
as a hairdresser, have you noticed changes in your hair? mine has always been soft, now its like its oily all the time, also, a TON of grey hairs ( i know im 43 but up till last year, i would only get a few now and again.its just this past year i have a ton of them) i never have permed or dyed my hair if that makes a difference. how do your customers act when they see you? its really noticeable on my, i had to stop serving dinners at the Elks lodge because i look like a horror flick reject.
btw guys, i do have a ki, well, not a kid, hes 23 and he does have the same thing i have, only not as bad.i dont get a chance to see him much becuase he married a total b!t(h. but scared, remember , kids are very resiliant, they tend to get rid of stuff pretty quickly if you catch it early enough.
you mentioned your ex, alcaholic, is he still around you guys a lot? i think stress has a lot to do with this

Sky ,I don't trust Tesco.I use a small family run health store .
For the first 4 weeks I ate nothing but raw vegetables,Sunflower seeds ,Sprouted green lentils and as much fresh fruit as I could afford.
Coconuts are really good for us too.
