| Yet more proof of the miracles of vitamins Vitamin D is ray of sunshine for multiple sclerosis patients - Times Online |

| Carls.... You bring the best stuff to this forum!!! It all makes so much sense, doesn't it? First they convince the general population that drugs are the answer and natural medicine, which drugs are based on, is harmful. Then of course, stay out of the sun! It causes cancer! (If anyone should have skin cancer it would be moi...I was raised in the sun all day, every day. I used to get blisters from sun poisoning on my shoulders. I could go on...) So, of course, by making people stay out of the sun, and put sun screen on, what is accomplished is putting toxins into our bodies and turning us over to the medical industry and big pharma to diagnose, but not cure, what lack of vitamin D absorbtion results from the screen and sun avoidance. Next, they radiate and bio-engineer our food to the point of not only being nutrition deficient, but in all likelihood we are now incorporating pathogenic organisms into our dna. So, then, they intend to make all vitamins and natural remedies illegal and only sold with a doctors (who not only don't believe in vitamins or natural remedies, but don't know anything about them) prescription. In addition, they are attempting to put natural medicine and organic farms out of business for good. So what are we to be left with? No nutrition, unless you can afford a doctors prescription. | Hi again, My stomach doesn't have me doubled over tonight so I'm talking a little. Well, so far. Haven't eaten yet. I've seen the movie Soylent Green mentioned a few times. I was never a futuristic type movie fan. Well, some, I liked. Living with my family now, with the grand kids I'm always saying how the food today has changed so. They just keep making it cheeper and cheeper. The taste is horrable. My family says I've made the kids food snobs. It's not really so, but I do think they know better than they used to. I often think, how will the children today know any better. None of us care for fast food much any more. Really not at all. So. the movie had always stuck with me.I had always liked it and had the kids watch it. I hope it sticks with them too. My grandson mentions it every once in a while. At times it looks like the world is going the way of that movie. I hope not. Anyway, have a great night everybody. Claudia |

| Hi Claudia, As a gmom I can identify with what you say. I feed my gabe as much organic, whole foods as I can and it kills me to see her mom and dad give her hot dogs for food, although I have to say they do try to feed her well. Glad your stomach is better. Have a good night. Kritters |

| Carla, that's really interesting about Vitamin D.... I was told when I had my brain MRI scan that Lyme patient's brains look very like MS brains in an MRI scan... I'm taking Vit D daily Hilly xx |

| Thanks Carla, thats really amazing. MS suffers often have relapses during spring and summer - maybe their bodies have trouble processing Vit D cuz of their now altered gene? A client was like this and her mother had always been a recluse, so probably didnt get the D she needed. Another mystery solved!! Thanks Jo xxx |

| I too saw this info on on vit D and MS. I had a friend visit the mayo clinic in Arizona because she was so sick all of the time and the local doctors couldn't find anything wrong. All they found at the mayo clinic is that she has a vitamin D deficiency! Thousands of dollars spent on hotels and a weeks worth of testing, and the answer is to spend more time in the sun!!!! She lives in New Mexico and still opts for the vitamin D supplements instead of going outdoors (I know this isn't an option for some climates), but it's time for us to get back to natural living, going outdoors , getting some exercise and watching what we eat. Vitamin D: 20 minutes of sunshine a day for those with light skin, twice as long for those with dark skin. Somewhere in between for those who are in between! In the white light, ~jonsi

| over the summer before my lyme dx, my D levels were VERY LOW. My primary doc put me on 50,000 units 1x a week for 8 weeks, after that regimen it was still not back to "normal" so I am still taking it, but trying to figure out when to put it into my regimen. i know i felt MUCH better when I was on it, life seemed more manageable. |
