Dedicated to the second annual Morgellons Conference:

“I bought something too much the color of my (next here insert the word money instead of love) money, allo, allo, It’s me again, calling you but nobody answer, nobody answer my call.”

Apparently the conference was mostly same unproven evidence shuffled around to make it appear new..sigh. Rather like most of the current crop of “new” Morgellons articles, rehashes of all the same interviews, turned around slightly to look make them appear current. As the little girl Bunny says in the movie “The Shipping News”: Boring...boring. Our increased understanding of what causes morgellons remains as murky as the foreign language portions of this song. And as monotonously repititious.

Trailer for the Shipping News:

Personally I really appreciate all the people who made the effort and it was hard work, to set up and organise the conference and attract speakers, doctors etc and help to keep it in the public eye for all us.. It is not their fault that nothing much new is yet found, but at least they keep trying and I'm so grateful. Here am I doing nothing towards it except share my experiences and try to help newbies (and oldies) with what has helped me. Thanks again to all those who work so hard with precious little funding to find an answer to all this horror.and to allert the media on every possible occasion.

Hilly -
Thank you for saying that. There are two kinds of people who spoke there - people with Morgellons for whom this was a big effort (esp Cindy Casey; until you put something like this together you have no idea how much work is involved). The other is the evidently non-afflicted, who care enough to do whatever they can with the meager resources at their disposal. And they had to pay their own way to speak to the group.
When there are those around like "PalMD" and Michael West, we need to be grateful for the pioneers who risk being belittled by their colleagues (and even Morgellons victims!!) in order to try to help us.
I just received my DVD and listened to Dr. Wymore and learned some things that I haven't seen anywhere. One is that the fibers are a relatively pure organic material (i.e., carbon-based). Life on this planet is carbon based, but that does not mean that they are "alive". In fact, they have NO cells or mechanism for taking nutrients and getting rid of toxins, nor any "life-like" means of reproduction. Their color is a part of them, not dyed, and cannot be extracted regardless of agents used.
I also learned that the fibers do, in some cases, "grow" out of a normal hair follicle, seemingly replacing normal hair (just as many of us have guessed). This is important, and I hope he publishes that.
He also talked about preparing some fibers for study, cleaned them and secured them in some kind of packaging (I forget what kind he said) and he had the experience that many of us have reported. Later, when they went back to study the fibers, the package was EMPTY. The fibers had totally disappeared.
I have heard of this happening with larger samples - mostly insect-like materials. Just disappearing from between two taped slides. It is important that a scientist has also experienced this phenomenon and can verify it.
Anyway, these observations were new since last Dr. Wymore's presentation from last year.
It doesn't sound like much, but these little pieces of scientifically validated facts are building blocks and MEAN something.
Dr. Wymore is also replicating the agrobacteria study (Citovsky) and plans to publish them along with the FTIR elemental fiber analysis.

Hi Sadsack,
thank you for posting this. Very interesting. I have never heard that fibers disappear? What kind of biological reaction could that be I'm wondering? Is it due to oxygen or warmth? hmmm..
Yes, I have also made that experience with fibers attached to hairfollicles. I "ripped" some hair out one day and could clearly see a red fiber attached to the root.
Surely I took pictures of that.
The high suspect Agrobacteria and it's assumed harmfull effects against humans is IMO a VERY important factor. I talked to Dr.Citovsky once and he explained by that date he needed more data in order indentify. So, I think it is great achievement Dr.Wymore is replicating his studies.

Anyway I would like to state here that I think those people who were involved working hard by preparing this Conference own our respect.
Cindy Casey is also a friend of mine and I truely admire her for her work since she is temporally not feeling well herself and yet doing this for us all.

Please don't think me crazy, but it almost seems like there is a supernatural dimension to this. I hope not. I want it to be a "normal mystery" that can be identified and dealt with....more than you can ever know.

Sadsack,
are you thinking of some kind of self destroying mechanism? Once released from human protein it dissolves itself?

WOW...if it wouldn't be a suspected part of our disease I would call it quite interesting.

Keeps me thinking......

Katinka -
I haven't a CLUE. But it is something that I have heard several times. It's just one more thing that makes this so freakin' spooky.

Sadsack,

This is unrelated but I have a question. How does one search through old forums? I see the search function is for if you have a specific subject, but I just want to look through to see what's there.

Just interested in the subjects that have been dealt with through the years...

By the way, I know what everyone says and I take it all in but for myself personally I know that there is a worm. It may be a "supernatural" worm, or a worm from another dimension, or a worm that self-destructs - that may well be. It certainly doesn't make any sense. BUT when a person has seen the worms and the larva in their skin there is no convincing that person that there is no worm.

It seems to have all the characteristics of heterorhabditis (nematode) and photorhabdus (bacteria) EXCEPT for the fact that all the lab work comes back NEGATIVE.

I could not have been more surprised when I took the larva and a few "bugs" in for testing at our local lab and the results said "No parasites" - I've never been more confounded by anything in my life.

When my doctors asks me "how do you explain that?" I say I can't.

I still see the signs of arthrobotrys fungus too. The sticky traps.

Also, I made some medicine which hurts like a you-know-what but seems to be really helping my remaining lesions.

I love you guys. We'll get there,

sar
