Cindy Casey interviewed for the Rachael Ray show!

Just heard through the grapevine that Cindy Casey was approached by the Rachael Ray show to be interviewed for an upcoming show that will deal with Morgellons. Rachael Ray Show

The interview has already occurred and filmed, but a date for showing it has not been set yet. At least one other person (a doctor - don't know who) was also interviewed.

This is great news - we are GETTING THERE! One step away from Oprah, and then we are going to be playing ball!!!

I would like to think that it will mean more publicity and awarness for the people with morgellons but something just dosen't click in me that it will.
we can only hope it does and some other talk shows pick up on it and do some follow up shows on it.

It's incremental, and there have been a lot of strides in that respect the last year +. Nightline, Inside Edition, Dr. Phil, Mystery ER. This is the first one since the Mystery ER show.

let me see night line inside edition dr phil etc.. and what may i ask has changed since the other shows? i think more people would watch night line

Well, that is probably true that more watch Nightline than Rachael Ray, but it is still PROGRESS toward recognition.
This is going way too slow for me, but I sure think we need to be grateful for whatever progress we've made. Whenever one of these things show, more people self-diagnose and find us....and many begin to get better!

Let me tell you a little story.

I just had the flu, and went to my doctor's office which is a combined walk-in clinic and doctors office. The doctor, nurses and office staff all know that I have Morgellons, and treat me so well. They are all just so nice to me...it's great.
Well, my doc wasn't in, so I saw the "emergency" doc who didn't know my history. There was an assitant present who did. He did his exam, asked questions about my flu symptoms, then asked if I had any other medical conditions. I hesitated, but then said "Morgellons". He looked sort of blankly at me, as though he vaguely remembered something but couldn't retrieve it.
In about 10 seconds, the assistant went and got a packet of information on Morgellons that they had printed up (been going there over a year). He started to read it out loud about the fibers and lesions, then stopped and said - as soon as it clicked in - "Oh, COOL"! Then immediately corrected himself and said, "well, not cool...but I have heard of this".
It seemed he was really pleased to actually meet someone with it, especially since I wasn't there complaining about Morgellons symptoms (I am guessing) but for the flu.
Two years ago I doubt this would have happened. This is PROGRESS. The whole experience at that office is so wonderful after all the crappy stuff that has happened.
The more the word gets out, and more doctors learn about it, the better things will be.
One other quick story. Dr. Reed in Tampa holds a monthly support group for Morgellons folks. No, she doesn't sell anything...she buys snacks, in fact, and gives up her Sunday afternoons. We've only been meeting since last October. She got involved a little over a year ago when a dear friend of her's developed Morgellons. She drove this friend for 24 hours to go to the 1st annual Morgellons Conference in Austin last year.
These are the things that happen with media coverage. Yes, it is not enough...but it is a heck of a lot more than people had 5 years ago.
We are moving in the right direction...I, too, wish it were faster, but I am grateful that I have a believing and compassionate doctor.

Warren M Levin, MD - Our Practice and emailed them. This doctor is located in Virginia, which is 3.5 hours away from me, but you wouldn't believe how difficult it is to find that combo of Md/naturopath...(I think someone steered me through a post, but can't begin to look for it, sorry)

I contacted Dr. Kilani today and he was very nice in answering my questions. Coincidentally, Dr. Levin uses his lab!!!...His office manager (could have been nurse) called me today after I left my info on their site and we had a great discussion. It's just so cool to hear about a doctor who is really into naturopathy and is an activist as well. I asked her if she had heard of Morgellons and said, "oh, yes...of course" She said someone came to them for treatment from Texas. Might be one of us. the price for a full checkup will be quite step in cash, but when you think of all the so called specialists who take insurance and who's souls are sold to the insurance companies when you don't get the appropriate tests or any results, it's well worth the investment in cash.

i can see where this is going when you go to dr and they know you have it but do not know what causes it and how it it is transfered look to be greated in a bio suite like a radioactive fall out victom
