So are you proposing that we go back in the closet, stop research, seeking funds, etc?
I'm sorry, but my experience has been exactly the opposite from what you describe. The more the Morgellons word gets out there, the better I get treated by doctors. I have to TELL the nurse at my doctors office to wear gloves!

My experience with my doctor also has never been anything less than courteous. BTW he is an infectious disease doctor and does not wear gloves when he sees me. Of course he does wash his hands between patients. So I think expecting to be greeted by a person in bio hazard gear is unrealistic unless of course morgellons proves to be highly contagious at some future date. I can say this though, my doctor is older and so is his wife. He does not show any signs nor does his wife (who works in the office) of this illness despite my periodic visits to their office for over a year. Also I have never noticed any other patient in the office scratch themselves just because I was there.

nothing could be farther from the truth-it again an example of health care workers not being trained in so called contagious diseases[ie.. I have to TELL the nurse at my doctors office to wear gloves!
what kind of chit is that-?i asume they do not know how it is spread from one person 2 another and if casuial contact is a portion of transfer will the next time they treat you like a lepper[swine flue vick-]gloves, mask, bio suite who knows i sure dont

Although some people think that Morgellons is highly contagious (from person to person), most do not. It seems that we are catching it from the environment - sewage, mold, toxic treatmetment plants, etc. When people share the same exposures, most seem to get it (living in the same environment at time of onset)
But many, many people report catching it somehow from something, and then move on to live with others (even get married) and don't pass it along.
Of course, there are other accounts, but they are far less common.
Just like TCM, I have been going to the same doctors office for over a year and no one has any problems.
Could be that there are contagious stages of this....
