The National Center for Zoonotic, Vector-Borne, and Enteric Diseases (ZVED) provided statements posted on the CDC website regarding what the CDC now calls "Unexplained Dermopathy (aka Morgellons"). This organization was created in 2007 under CDC's Coordinating Center for Infectious Diseases. ZVED promotes itself as proving leadership, expertise, and service in laboratory and epidemiological science, bioterrorism preparedness, applied research, disease surveillance, and outbreak response for infectious diseases.
The involvement of ZVED in creating the CDC webpage for Mogellons clearly implies acceptance by the CDC that Morgellons is a disease involving not just fibers but parasites.

And this says a lot to me ...

DNA transmission capabilities of Agrobacterium have been extensively exploited by biotechnologists as a means for inserting foreign genes into plants. They discovered the gene transfer mechanism between Agrobacterium and plants, and developed methods to alter Agrobacterium into an efficient delivery system for gene engineering in plants. This is done by cloning the desired gene sequence into the transfer DNA (T-DNA) that will be inserted into the host DNA. Under laboratory conditions the T-DNA has also been transferred to human cells, demonstrating the diversity of insertion application. The mechanism through which Agrobacterium inserts materials into the host cell is very similar to mechanisms used by pathogens to insert materials (usually proteins) into human cells.

I think this guy is spot on. Thats why they are delaying the results .
They know where the economy is going and they know Morgellons will be the least of our worries.


Physician Blasts CDC Over Morgellons

To whom it may concern:

Ms. XX was seen in my Petaluma Office. She suffers from a disorder that has been called Morgellons Disease.
This is a very debilitating disorder, and no cure is available. Some treatments are available, but their effectiveness is extremely limited.
On January 28, 2009 Morgellons Disease was given a definition and ICD Code: C17.800.518 by NIH/MeSH Tree Location for Morgellon's Disease.
C 17: Skin and Connective Tissue Disease

ICD Definition:

"An unexplained illness which is characterized by skin manifestations including non healing lesions, itching, and the appearance of fibers. There appears to be a strong association with LYME Disease."

I state unequivocally that the above definition is woefully incomplete and inadequate, and that the CDC and medical establish have been totally negligent in studying this system of disorders, and have provided no treatment, support, or comfort, at all to the patients afflicted.
Morgellons is not a problem of "delusions of parasitois."
I will further state that evidence is emerging that this system of disorders (poorly named Morgellons) is in almost everyone, including those who read this letter, but that clinical manifestations are not manifested to a recognizable degree.

In summary Ms. XX is, in my opinion, ill from a system of disorders called Morgellons Disease, and is debilitated to the extent that she cannot work.

Sorry I posted this as new thread, should have been reply.

At least it claims validity through out the article. I was glad to see in this article about a doctor who observed fibers not only from lesions but from what appears tobe healthy tissue also. As of yet, I haven't experienced lesions.(now I suppose they'll pop up all over me). I have had the specks on my face and i have fibers come out from my face and I think my fingers.

I cut and shaved my head because I couldn't stand the tall things growing and wrapping around my hair. I could feel the movement also. Hyphae sways back and forth looking for food and this is what would happen at the top of my head, along with my ears and forehead being tickled by the moving "things". The hair behind my ears and on my neck were just like that of matted hair on a dog. All white and fuzzy. I have got to believe fungi is involved. I will not grow my hair back this way.

Just as I myself, I am sure everybody gets to an article and hopes there will be a clear cut answer, But media awareness is a good thing. The idea of waiting another 9 months for the CDC's report though is a downer.

I think the gay men already knew about this a long time ago, remember when they all started to shave their hair off. It was like every gay man was clean shaven, face, head and probably everywhere else! LOL!

Thanks for posting this!!! That doc is a really fine human being. It appears that they are connecting the dots and began in June. Here's a thought: Add Morgellons to their list on the NCZVED website and doctors listed by state to help those in need. Give some stimulus money to scientists to help teach/train docs in methods for identification and treatment of these new emerging diseases. ie. Morgellons. Training to Docs could be carried out by hiring interested scientists and researchers who will need to refocus their careers due to Pharm melt-down.
