| The next time your doctor says it is not possible you have lyme because you live in a state which has no lyme hand him the URL to this interactive map on diagnosed cases of dog lyme which shows that lyme exists in the officially sanctioned AMA lyme states, but also occurs in states which have 'no' lyme. It is felt that these are only some of the lyme cases in dogs since often times cases are not reported. This chart also contains statistics for two other lyme co-infections as well as heart worm. How doctors can remain so ignorant I do not know but I feel that passing this information on to doctors may help overcome some of that ignorance. How do dogs contract lyme while humans do not in some of these allegedly 'no' lyme states? Ask the doctor to explain that anomaly for you if he balks at this concept. | Great map TCM. I am beginning to believe that doctors are told not to suspect or test for Lyme or they truly believe it doesn't exist because of the inadequate testing. I think it's becoming an epidemic and the government doesn't want us to panic. Like you, I have been doing tons of research and I believe Lyme is the cause of many illnesses such as M, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, etc... There are so many co-infections that can come along with Lyme and they are proving that it can be transmitted to the fetus (which is why my son has it) as well as sexually. My LLMD also said that they have discovered Lyme in other vectors such as mites, fleas, mosquitoes, etc... which would cause a world wide panic. If I remember correctly, I think you said that your CD57 was low and you tested positive for Lyme right? The LLMD I am seeing said that he uses the CD57 as a marker for Lyme because every patient he has treated and who have tested positive for Lyme had a low CD57. Lyme would also explain why some people get better when taking antibiotics. I would love to know if there is anyone else on here who has been treated with IV antibiotics that has M and if their symptoms improved. |
