I listened to the IDSA Lyme Hearing

An idiot doctor was talking about a Lyme/borrelia lab positive person who went on antibiotic treatment.

Years later, she still had chronic symptoms and she was later complaining about feeling like "BUGS CRAWLING ALL OVER HER SKIN" and other complaints.

This Doctor testifying was on the team that is obviously AGAINST Chronic Lyme disease and his goal was to keep the terrible IDSA guidelines which denies Lyme Patients needed treatment.

He said that this woman had a mental problem EVEN THOUGH she had positive Lab results for Lyme/Borrelia.

He said all this media attention is making it impossible to treat the ROOT of her REAL problem which is MENTAL. ( um.....she has a positive lyme test and feels like bugs are crawling all over her skin and other complaints )

This ignorant MD actually said that people are believing they have lyme BECAUSE of all the "media" attention and he BLAMED the Lyme activist for creating the attention which in his ignorant opinion was denying this woman with the feeling that "bugs crawling on her skin" proper treatment for her very REAL "issues" referring to mental care. (I hope there is a place in the transcripts where all this can be read.)

Yep, he seemed to think people were testing positive for borrelia/Lyme BECAUSE of the activist drawing attention to this very serious illness. He was blaming the ACTIVIST for the awareness of this disease (CHRONIC LYME) cuz he and others don't want to deal with it.

-------Guys,.............. (Morgellons) from watching this example of Lyme/borrelia, it appears that it is going to be a very long tough road.



There were MD's who were fighting very hard for us and some equally fighting very hard against us as in the example of that IDIOT above who said the Lyme Positive woman suffered and needed help for her mental problems. He tried to make it seem "less Mental" as he also referred to it as her "ISSUES" that needed medical attention/treatment.


Dr. Stricker attened the hearing and put the CDC Doctor in her place when she tried to say that the Lab tests that are currently in use are "VERY GOOD".

The CDC doctor and Dr. Stricker were both called up at the end for additional questioning.

The CDC doctor's body language and some stuttering told me she was "uncomfortable" answering. (JMO)

Lyme is relatively simple. Morgellons is out of this world. We're screwed.

I watched it as a live WEB CAST. Here is a website where you can read blog updates as it went on and the comments from people afterward.

Lyme is not so "simple" as the defenders for lyme victims pointed out. It can change into cyst hiding in synovial fluid, tissues, lympahtic system and affect gastrointestinal system and all ORGANS in our body including the brain.

There are various strains of the borrelia spirochete and new strains coming out and too many are not even going to be picked up in the commercial lab tests that are used. Ths spirochete is changing according to one doctor when he pointed out the DNA and how it behaves differently on different people depending on their individual genetic make up.

Keep in mind that reading the "highlights" from the blog...... so much of the emotion and body language is missed. The comments from those who watched are interesting to read.

Babies are born infected cuz the parent was not aware they were
infected.

I can't understand why Lyme and Morgellons isn't getting the attention AIDS did cuz it is affecting innocent children.

Lyme mixed with toxins (like morgellons) is what makes these conditions so complicated.

Did they mention the percentage of lyme sufferers that have chronic lyme - I think its about 10% isnt it?

That was addressed only in so far as they can't possibly know for certain due to the very inaccurate lab test. Also the fact that during the disease process, the spiorchete goes into cyst form and hides from the immune system and lab test won't pick it up even though it contains viable infectious spirochetes.

Also problematic, it that the same positive blood sample can be sent to different labs and read differently by differently by different lab technicians..... again unreliable results.

NO WAY to have any accurate percentages due to the inaccurate lab test.

Until a lab test can be more effective, Doctors need to treat their patient and not treat the lab result.

Even when Lab tests don't confirm, a patient has the right to treatment in any disease process. No lab test is 100% effective. However; Lyme test have such low percentages for reliablility when compared to other medical lab test.

I didn't mean "simple" - I meant RELATIVELY - that is compared to Morgellons, which is more complicated than anything imaginable. If "they" are having trouble with a disease where the infective agent and method of transmission is known, Morgellons doesn't stand a chance.

Yeah, that is how I am feeling and it is getting discouraging. It's similar in that the Doctors/Researchers of Borrelia can't seem to agree on many aspects including the transmission process!

One testified that Babies have been born with it and the mothers were not aware they were infected, but they were!

LIA (Lyme induced Austism Foundation) has many Lyme videos and those babies are in the 90% for Lyme. Numerous Doctors are in agreement there that it is definately transmitted from
mother to baby. New baby ends up sicker cuz of their brand new immune systems trying to learn to function.

The same way no one seems to agree with morgellons!

Yeah, I've read that there are many more people infected with Lyme than even feel they are sick.

I guess there are a lot of issues with respect to why Bb stays under the radar for a long time with many, then goes wild in others. I can readily see a baby being born with it and the mother not knowing.

So, yes - lots of intricacies.

But Morgellons...
