Hi Hilly. To be truthful I think Kritters knows more about the CD57 test than I do. I think they could answer your questions better on that issue.
As for my medicine, they get tweaked adjusted so much customized for me well I do not know if what I am taking would be useful to you or not. A tiered approach with Lyme care whether natural or traditional. Of course at least in my case, antiparisiticals are sporadic bursts to keep the disease from adapting and so they do not hurt the body too much. That, and blood monitoring.
Mine as some know is well controlled but severe. I have to take 4 antibiotics still, one has changed, one was discontinued, antifungal once weekly, also anifungal pill once a week. I am taking of course older and yes strong antibiotics. I am tolerating them well. I get my blood monitored periodically to make sure I am okay on the medicines.
I have done research into naturals. I do some which are mildly helpful without side effects. Sometimes what I take changes due to what is handy. Not really anti Lyme stuff. Not yet.
There is a reason for that. Also why I have not done colloidal silver. Saving future weapons in my arsenal in the event my type of treatment stops working for some reason or if I become intolerant of medicines. Not a real concern at this point in time a just in case long term thinking plan.
Of course the way I see it however we can improve, whatever is best for us as individuals as long as it works without hurting us overly much well we want to function. There is no one type of treatment which helps all unfortunately.
We each find our own way. It takes time and indeed an uphill climb with many peaks and valleys. Staying positive is key. Of course I never stop looking, never stop hoping that one day we shall indeed ALL be free of this disease.
