Rep. Smith seeks $100M to fight Lyme disease

I have to warn my sis about this, she lives in NJ. I didn't know NJ was third on the list of tick bites.

"WASHINGTON — The longest serving member of New Jersey's congressional delegation is trying to get federal money to fight Lyme disease.

Rep. Christopher H. Smith, R-N.J., said Tuesday he has filed legislation to get $100 million over the next five years for research and education about the disease, which is caused by the bite of blacklegged ticks.

New Jersey is third in the nation in the number of reported Lyme disease cases, behind New York and Pennsylvania. In 2005, the last year for which numbers were available from the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, New Jersey had 3,363 cases. There were 23,305 cases reported in the nation for that year."

i spoke with women on phone about phone work and the mailing of my hire packet. stuff can do at home and computer and stuff. she is in nj. she has family with this disease. gronshon catheters are the norm there. knows 3 folks had them for lymes. she spoke how disease can attack different areas in people. my home base, my norad for disease at base of rear skull and in my vertebrae of neck.small world, indeed.(LC).
